New downloadable multiplayer maps are on the way for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Activision and Infinity Ward announced today.

yep yep and new maps are supposed to be some of the first things coming through the downloadable content, due in spring.. yes yes! Hopefully new player outfits for each faction too.

Also, it might not be too late to implement some sort of co-op? Maybe?

I wish they would make very very kick-ass standalone single player levels for download. This will be nice too though.

There is no way on earth that they will have these for free. Think of all the money they could make!

This was expected... IW's mappers have to spend their workdays doing something, hehe, and of course they've always provided post-release maps. vCoD got three I believe? CoD2 got two iirc, and since CoD4 is exponentially more successful than those, I expect they'll be providing the same amount or more .
