Killzone vs halo 2

i never heard of killzone until last night, ok maybe it's not as popular as halo 2, but the game's plot looks more interesting than halo 2 to me, just my opinion. I'm just talking about the plot, not the gameplay, variety in weapons or drivable vechicles. I just think the plot look more serious than the one in halo, maybe that's the reason i like it better. It looks like a futuristic campaign of call of duty and it also has somthing japs in it.

I've heard good things about KillZone, but I'm gonna stick with Halo for now as being the better.

Killzone looks more realistic for sure, but thats my opinion.

Killzone looks a bit...

bland. It doesn't seem to have much character to it, and the trench warfare bit sent me to sleep.

Halo 2 looks like HL2's younger, immature brother, for me.

I think it's pretty obvious how people are going to vote on this one. Halo 2 is the most anticipated console title in years. Halo 2 has a history and a developed fanbase from the original Halo release. All we know about Killzone is that it's a PS2 exclusive to rival sales of Halo 2, but beyond a few videos there's not much substance there. People have a pretty good idea how Halo will play out, but no one knows how Killzone will.

I voted Killzone. Simply because i find everything in Halo a complete bore and i expect nothing different from Halo2.

I think Killzone looks quite promising - like the style ...... but previews and playtests have suggested the gameplay isn't anything special. The framerate is meant to be a little choppy too.

Has anyone gone to the Killzone official website, go to the sounds section, the weapons are hella beefy and the explosions rock, all the other sounds are spot on too and the music's really good
The problem is the two games are aiming for different things, Killzone is more realistic, though in the future, and Halo 2 is more futuristic with aliens, both look really good

I played Halo 2 , and i played the kill zone demo
and i think KillZone is better than Halo 2 , really KillZone i had more fun playing the demo, than playing Halo 2.

The enemies in Killzone don't seem to want to...........die. At all. They just live. And live. And live. I guess they had to up their HP to compensate for their crappy AI.

yeah true, the ai is a little bad, but the plot attracts me more than halo, in halo serie, the ennemies have this pokemon feel.

I other words, in Killzone, you have to use strategy to survive. A few bullets will kill you, and the Helgast have a mod attackment to their rifle to make it switch to a SHOTGUN at close range. This will make you try to hide and aim carefully, and keep quite a distance away. This game sounds like it's HARD.

Halo 2 however, well, you have an RECHARGING SHIELD, and Convant Grunts which can kill you with 100 shots luckily. EASY.

I doubt Kllzone will offer the strategy or challenge of Halo 2 (which sounds like you have to be a gaming god to master n Legendary). The combat is meant to be very samey, offering little variety or decision making (similar to CoD/MoH)

I'm hoping Killzone is very good - and the early impressions were. As release gets closer and closer, and more ppl/magazines have seen previews and playtested, alot of the promise seems to have worn off.

Im totally Anti-Halo but according to IGN, Killzone just dosn't work well in the Ps2 hardware. It's framerates are crap, eneimes blur when they run alot, the LOD system is messed up, etc..
Plus I really hate Sony... And since Killzone is on the Ps2(which is sonys), then thats another reason x_X.

So here, I would have to say Halo.

I use to really look forward to Killzone, but these vids just make the combat look so distant and forced. The AI looks a litte "Off" is you will. The framerates are disappointing, and the way they copy Halo and call it "Halo killer" just makes me want to laugh until I die. It doesn't lake visuals, but there's really no environment to it. It just seems like you're the only one fighting this supposedly large war. Halo 2 just seems so much more alive.
I did like it when he climbed up the wires and you could see his arms and he kept one on them while drawing his gun, that was cool.

I dunno. I still want to play this game, but I've always favored Halo.

EDIT: Just watched the video you made yourself. I was much more impressed with it than the others. But, I'm still for the Halo series.

Yeah, I agree. Killzone is so blurry it's like watching Sunset Beach.
