Lost Season 4

'The other woman' not the greatest episode tbh, but it was never going to be after the Constant. Events were interesting enough and the flashbacks insightful, plus a bucket load of answers to various questions, but there's a clear lack of on screen chemistry between Juliet and Jack which undermines what they are trying to do with them story wise. Ben losing it like a 12 year old was funny though. also anyone else think the woman in it reminded them a bit of Michelle Forbes (Kain in BSG)?

Hool's theory is the best i've heard about the island yet. Granted i drift in and out with Lost and have never seen a season in its entirety. However i am getting into it with this season but i can't guarantee how long that will last.

The latest episode is a disclosure episode, which really helps with some key elements

The Freighter belongs to Charles Widmore (Penelope's Father), who he is himself trying to find the location of the island
I would be interested to know if
Charles' employed Desmond to scout out the location of the island, hence the reason why Niomi knew about Desmond

Also
Was Charlotte and David wearing gas masks as insurance that if they did fail, they would be protected, or if Juliette didn't intervene, David would of release the poison

Widmore wouldn't have employed Desmond but it's very likely he set up the boat race so that he would end up there. Naomi knew about Desmond because Widmore knew - along with Penny - that he was on the Island.

And Charlotte and Daniel would not have released the gas at all - they aren't the type to commit mass genocide on what is clearly a large portion of innocent people. They were close to failing before Juliet even showed up, so yeah, it was insurance.

Not the most well written of episodes but if you thought it was flller you're Wrong with a capital W.

Are you that f*cking dense? This episode actually gave some answers for once.

What answers?
That Ben is a manipulating asshole.
That Penny's father is aware of the island and that Ben might be the necessary evil.
That the new arrivals are patsies and not everybody is who they seem to be.
Gee, really? Answers?

All this episode did "reveal" is that Juliet has been ****ing Goodwin who was married to another woman and that Ben had a crush on her.
As usual, they strayed off the previous story arc and introduced an unnecessary one. Thus being a filler episode.Expect the same in the next Sun/Jin-centric episode. If you're looking for someone who is "****ing dense", look in the mirror Sherlock.

Oh, now gee, you've really hurt my feelings now. I'm afraid you've destroyed my already damaged self-esteem. How can you treat another human being this way?

It answers exactly why Juliet wanted Ben dead.
It answers who is sponsoring the boaties.
It gave more info on the boaties' intentions.
etc...

Actually, Twix, the next episode is meant to have one of the biggest shocks of the season in it at somepoint.

Good episode. Couldn't care less for Juliet, and the affair with Goodwin seemed really throw away but everything else was pretty good.

If you didn't like the episode, fair enough. But that doesn't mean it's filler.

The information revealed in this episode actually has long-term ramifications for quite a few characters, such as Ben, Juliet, Desmond, Penelope, and Locke. It reveals who the boaties are employed by. The Tempest will doubtlessly serve another purpose by the end of the series, if not this season. Not to mention the impact Ben's newfound freedom will have on Locke's camp, with whatever seeds of dissent may be sewn from it.

To call it filler has to be a misunderstanding of what the word means. Filler is Pablo and that dumb chick everybody cheered to kill off last season. Filler is Jack's stupid tattoo.

Oh, now gee, you've really hurt my feelings now. I'm afraid you've destroyed my already damaged self-esteem.

As i said before, look in the mirror if you're looking someone to blame.
My sarcastic, arrogant friend.

As in, Juliet reveals to Jin that Sun will die if she stays on the Island cause of her pregnancy.I think it's safe to assume that they're part of the Oceanic 6.Whether that is a filler or not, is simply a matter of opinion.

The big shock is that Michael is the captain of the freighter. And I doubt Sun is the last member of the Oceanic 6. It will probably be Locke, just for the twist. Someone has to be in the coffin.

Won't be Locke in the coffin. It's going to be Ben, who makes the most sense given the structure of the storyline and in fact I think I'll be let down if it isn't - it really should be him for the sake of good narrative. :p

Not the best episode, felt like it was dragging at times. Juliette is hot btw imo and the guy who plays Ben was awesome as always.

The episode wasn't the greatest by any stretch of the imagination, but it did actually confirm a few things as Geogaddi rightly pointed out. Up to now we've never had any in show confirmation as to whose pulling the strings regarding the freighter and it's activities. Sure we've all speculated it's Widmore but now we actually know, which means we know who Matthew abbadon works for, which puts an interesting light on 'are they still alive' question he put to Hurley in the Asylum. I'd say the questions not about the rest of 815, as originally surmised, but is instead an inquiry about the fate of the freighter crew. Now that is an interesting development.

Feel free to trash talk back like a WWE reject though :dozey:

I Am "****ing dense".Remember?

Again, whether this was a filler episode is simply a matter of opinion.
You seem to be easily pleased with these kinds of episodes.I Am not.
Your friend Geogaddi attacked me for no valid reason.
You disagree with me?That's perfectly fine with me.Opening your s*it trap and calling somebody "****ing dense" is another thing though.

Again, whether this was a filler episode is simply a matter of opinion.

But we've already highlighted a number of new reveals in the show, so it's not really opinion at all, it's fact that it wasn't. :dozey:

Kinda odd that they sent a theoretical physicist to do a chemical engineer's job.

Okey, this thread move quick, so im sorry if i take you back a few pages, but Samon;

The skeleton thing, Jack and Kate i can understand its speculation, but that it's great importance thing in last season whatever, is that something that been said by a writer or something that have leaked?
(I know that if your theory about jack/kate is correct, it's pretty important)

And also,

I suspected that micheal whould be Bens contact, but have you heard something that confirms it? No trailers here ya know

ALSO! about walt. Spoiler maybe----?
Walt may be timetraveling! He was considerably older when he apeard, considering the timeframe on the island. I could have looked past it, seeing how it takes a long time to film and cut and whatever, but didn't Lock mention Walt being older? So if he only was a materialized Smokemonster, why whould they make a deal about the age thing? I might be imagining things thou.

Oh screw you Samon! Your theories are always true! :D *WTF 2X! NOOO DAMN THEM ALL TO HELL! Kill them all off why don't you ****ers! :frown:;(;(

Well I think everyone pretty much knew who was gonna be on the boat, but a flashback and flashfoward in the same episode? My head exploded.

Poor jin D: Although

Date on the grave was what looked like September 2004, so it could be possible that he's just still on the island and they're just saying he's dead to go with the whole oceanic 6 story

Wow just wow. At the start of the first flash I was saying sarcastcly "oh I wonder how there going to fool me?" and buy the end I was feed my own words. Great episode. But they kind of flubed the Jin dies part. Your so stuned that you got fooled and your wondering what's going on that your not sad enough when the Jin die's part kick's in. Other then that great episode.

fix'd
I didn't catch that, but I'm going to take your word for it since I'm in the denial stage. It's funny, I feel very little emotion when my family members die, much less fictional characters. I felt it for Jin though (Who I despised in the beginning by the way).

One thing I'm wondering and hope gets touched on soon- the captain said that the bodies of every single passenger on the plane were discovered in the fake wreckage, right? So what were the direct repercussions of the reappearance of several of them, intact and alive?

Probably some bologna story that is made up to cover for their reappearance, such as some of the remains being mis-identified.

I kinda sensed they were pulling one over on me at parts of it, but they had me believing flash forward all the way near the end.

So we've seen all six right? Because I was justifying how their might be seven through this episode (keeping Erin on the down low maybe). But now we have six right? RIGHT!?

Jin/Sun mix is really getting to me

is jin being told not to make contact with Sun and pretend he's dead? or was that a flashback to before the crash! the clerk said, "in the year of the dragon" which can either be 2000 or 2012 and isn't it 2004 on the island? which would make it either a flashback or the clerk was merely talking about the year of the dragon, not saying that it WAS the year of the dragon.

or is he really dead

It was definitely a flashback

"I've only been married two months!"
