Lost Season 4

I thought the combined thread retained the title of the elder thread. Seeing as every post in thread 2 was after every post in thread 1. There was no overlap. It was very neat.

That's what I don't like about 99% of Lost theories, they're half-baked with gaping holes and don't come close to explaining half the stuff that's going on.

Exactly, but the problem is that you don't know where the writers are going with the series. Example is the Dr Halliwax stating the properties of the island have caused a casimir effect.

But the problem is the casimir effect only describes physical forces exerted between two interacting atoms at the atomic level, and thus is an everyday occurence (nothing to do with time travel)

I'm excited for the new episode. This will be the first one I've seen on TV.

I have seen a bit of season 1, I quite enjoyed the first episode, but the rest just kinda fell apart for me.

WOW!
tonight's episode was easily my fav so far this season
just got better and better as it went along

*SPOILERS* obviously

why doesn't jack want to see the baby? it's his nephew afterall
kate says "i understand why you dont want to see him"
why would that be? did he do something to claire? is she dead?
what was up with daniel trying to memorize the cards? is the island affecting his memory or something?
what happened to the helicoptor? did sahiid commandeer it? or did the pilot take them somewhere else on the island?! or are they actually holding him captive on the "freighter"
so many more questions!!

9/10

That was pretty predictable.

I think Claire will die this season.
Either her or Desmond.I have my money on her.

I'm thinking that Daniel has some kind of degenerative brain disease, and hopes that the island is going to help while he's there. They're looking for signs that its getting better with the cards.

I don't think it'll happen this season, the flashforwards take place 4 or so years after they're off the island.(That's what I'm getting from the conversation Kate had with her mom.)

How did people guess the ending? Unless they are talking about how Kate gets let free, that's understandable, but the ending as in Aaron? I couldn't have guessed it.

I thought it was Aaron, don't know why. About the 3.2 million dollars Miles demanded for, it's obvious they are not talking about money, I wonder what the 3.2 is all about.

If you ask me,i think that he's Ben's "man on onboard" and that there was a hidden message in there for him.

Ah, I'm finally getting back into the old, comfortable groove of sitting down every week, watching some Lost, and then wondering what the ship is going on.

I think it needs to be acknowledged that Ben is the man. Always has. Always will be. Even when he's getting beaten to a pulp, you know he's going to end up on top.

It was the music that got me. Whenever something came up involving Kate, Clair and Aaron that sinister ''THIS is a key moment you should remember for later on'' music piped up in the background, namely when Clair said something about Kate could be a mother when she was tending to Aaron. Something like that anyway. I forget. But yeah.

Not a bad episode, not a great episode. Locke putting a grenade in Miles' mouth is so ****ing owned, though. But then, Locke thinking that Sawyer was actually ratting Kate (of all people) out was a rookie mistake on his part too.

See, I started thinking that, then the whole "I know why you don't want to see him" thing happened. Maybe she's got Aaron from Claire, but she led Jack to believe that it was her and Sawyers kid....

I'm thinking more along the lines that something bad happens to Claire which then leads Kate to taking care of Aaron in her place. Whatever it was, I don't think Jack wants to see the baby because he'll be reminded of said event that happened back on the island which lead to Kate taking care of the baby in Claire's place. The event, though? Who knows? Kidnapping, a ''for the best'' scenario (Claire doesn't want to leave but wants Aaron to grow up somewhere other than the island) or even death?

Can't wait to see either way.

Nah, that wouldn't really make much sense. It's got more to do with Claire, and her being Jack's sister and something having happened to her in trying to get off the island.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I realize how retarded of an idea mine was. Oh well, I was never good at finding hidden meanings/understanding extremely vague concepts. I just don't think hard enough about these things, I guess.

Well it's not ****ing acceptable. Get out. :arms:

I didn't liked Eggtown too much, first poor episode in season 4. Maybe because I don't like Kate centric episodes, really don't care about her future and about Aaron. I loved reference to Philip K. Dick's book VALIS and how Locke owned Miles.

Today's episode was ****ing awesome.

Best episode yet.

That whole scene at the end was a bit of a tear jerker :(

The Constant - 11/10

Amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing episode. omfg.... Now THAT is good TV!

Yeah, the direction in this one was very strong, and it was coupled with some very big plot developments.

Truly awesome episode. Not sure if it was my favourite, cause Desmond's character an plotline are not among my favourite ones, but it was extremely well done.

Awesome episode, indeed. I loved Desmond's flashbacks in Royal Scots boot camp (that drill sergeant was epic) and in Oxford (geeky Daniel FTW!)
I also liked auction for Black Rock's ledger.

Oh my GOD. That was probably one of my top fav episodes. I was getting into it heavily. At the end, I started to hold back the manly tears. Awesome direction for the episode to take. Infinate/10.

Wow...fantastic episode.

But what are the implications of the plot developments? Are the side effects of traveling to and from the island the flashbacks we've seen, and not actual flashbacks?

No, they're actually flashbacks. These time slips only seem to affect people who have been exposed to extreme levels of electro-magnitism or radiation. I mean, you haven't seen any other characters freak out right after their flashback, have you?

Yeah, seems obvious now, I was half asleep when I typed that. I guess this means Locke will have problems if he tries to leave, seeing as Sawyer strangled his constant. Or maybe his wheelchair could be his constant, I don't know.

**** i missed the end of the latest ep due to a phone call, got to the point where he called Penny and they talked for a bit, then Said asked him after "are you alright?" and he replied fine or sumit like that. What happened after? :(

There was a shot of Daniel sitting with his back against a tree, on the island, looking through a workbook with lots of equations etc. in it. As he's skimming through the pages, he notices that there's something written in red on one of the pages: "IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG, DAVID HUME WILL BE MY CONSTANT".

Fixed. Who's David? :E
