its not that the 1st one was boring, but the side quests were long and the other worlds were bland. hell throw a couple of trees every half mile or so and some grass patches here or there and it would have been more fun.
 
That trailer really confused me as we are supposed to use our save files from ME1 to carry on using our Shepard, yet the trailer says he died.
 
They said they would use our save files but didn't say what for.

Also recently they hinted at not going shepard. Didn't think they'd do that though O_O

how many times has Mario died before he got to the Princess?? my point exactly, in video games you have many lives and always come back from the dead

Er, no. The line is a little different between a gameplay involved death and a death to do with an actual story. I don't think (I may be wrong, though) that Mario has actually 'died' in his roster of games.

Mass Effect being a little more serious helps, too...

I bet they will use your save file so they can use your Shepard in a cut-scene in which they kill Shepard.
 
Yeah, they'll probably do something lame like that.
 
possibly your actions you took during the first game will have an effect continuing in the second one.

just watched the trailer...it is entirely possibly that Shepard's status update isn't accurate. e.g. they think he is dead...but really he isn't.
 
Maybe his death was faked for some top secret mission? I don't know, but I can't wait to find out.

Nice. Gets me in the mood again. The first time walking around the Citadel was pure sci-fi magic. Can't wait for the same thing somewhere else. And you know they HAD to have listened to the criticisms of the side missions, so likely those will be better this time around too. Can't wait!!!

(Now if only KMart will sell this to me a week early like the did last time...:D)
 
Do I get to choose what save file I use? I've played through it multiple times. :p
Almost hit level 60 in the second run through...
 
Oh lawd, I'll have to buy the first one before this comes out.
 
I didn't love Mass Effect, but I didn't hate it, so I guess I'll give this a shot.
 
I wonder if the PC version will come out at the same time as the 360 version? Or will the PC have to wait longer again.
 
I hope the storyline is as good as the first, and the side missions/exploration is HEAVILY redone. You know, so you aren't doing EXACTLY the same thing every single bastard time.
 
Remember guys, the IP is owned by EA now, so they're gonna milk the hell out of.

**** they've already announced an on-rails shooter based off the Mass Effect franchise, for the Wii!

Though now I have to go through the first one again as I've formatted my PC since I played it. But thats no bad thing.

Seriously. ME1 was/is the biggest example of "less is more" gaming has seen in years. And I include Ubi's last few open world games in that statement.

I was so hyped for it, too. :(

I am still looking forward to playing the first one, and then perhaps this one.
The first teaser awakened no excitement for the second, other than the fact that they are working on a sequal. I hope it comes to PC first this time.
