The entire conversation was recorded by one of the students. It's not as if the teacher is yelling and screaming about Nazis, he's just having a chat with his class. So one of the kids takes the tape to the school-board, complains about rabid left-wing rhetoric, and gets the teacher suspended. How can someone be suspended for this? How can this cause a stink? HOW? How can the school board claim that his actions were inappropriate? There isn't even anything factually incorrect in what he said. I had a teacher who basically performed fellatio on all right-wingers in every class, and as much as I disagreed with him, I didn't want him to stop with the “rabid, right-wing rhetoric”. It's helpful to learn about bias and bullshit at an early age, and it's healthy to have your viewpoint challenged. Arrrg, this stuff just drives me crazy.

Spending all of your money on your military just takes you one step closer to fascism, kiddo. A country does not become "great" by having a big army. A country becomes great, and becomes remembered, through its culture. Sadly, you'd rather just see your country become a Combine-esque police state where every resource is poured into the war machine.

Actually, I believe many people voted for him because he promised stability and an answer to the problems of unemployment and shitty economy. Granted, a lot of people were turned on by the nationalism and promises to 'make Germany great again' but the Social Democratic party, with its anti-anti-semitism policy, was more popular!

Thank the Germans for the battle of britain, if it were'nt for that accidental bomb run that occured on London. Africa was'nt won by the British. American and British intervention in Algeria is partly what won it. The British had only one saving thing in North Afrika, and that was the Desert Rats. Beyond that, nothing. Rommel was whooping you with cardboard tanks, and sticks being drug behind tanks to feign a much larger Panzer Armee. See, El-Alamein.

1. Algeria was after El Alamein, widely regarded as the turning point in Africa. It seems as if the British forces would have been quite capable of winning in Africa without the Americans, and besides, if the US had had their way, Operation Torch would not have happened.
2. The British did not only have 'one saving thing'. See: 8th Army.
3. I believe you have that the wrong way round.

Hmm, I must go and read up on Brits in Indochina.
EDIT: I must also find out the name of that training exercise where average UK army grunts went up against D-boys and pwned them. :p

How is defense not directly related to health schemes? I don't care how healthy you are "kept by your government" when a nuke blows up in your town you are going to get unhealthy real quick.

Do you think Iraq, Iran, *other* is dumping loads of money into Health care and public services/amenities?

You know what the best cure is? Prevention. We don't NEED a huge army or half of our money spent on the military, BECAUSE WE DON'T GO OUT OF OUR WAY TO PISS EVERYONE OFF.

Plus, no matter what your spending, Virus - have you ever heard the term "Mutually Assured Destruction"? Military spending matters little as soon as the first nuclear missile is launched.

I hate to break it to you, but the cold war is over.
If a nuclear exchange happens, everybody involved will be dead anyway no matter how much you spend on defence.
 
America does not have the largest military. And again I say we can't afford NOT to put money in defense budgets.

Not right now. Things have changed in the world

WE spend money on anti-nuke weapons, etc, border defense/protection. I don't think we are buiding stock piles of nukes bro.

And we don't go out of our way to make other countries hate us. They have hated us for a long long time becuase of rediculous things like Barbie dolls. Becuase women have rights and are allowed to wear shorts, etc.

Becuase we won't sit around and watch while countries like Iran are building nukes and openly, vocally threaten Isreal and America, and have been found to support terrorists.
