Name and avatar meanings

do i win some sort of prize for that? cause that would be cool :thumbs:
 
Name: I can't recall where I picked up Darkside from. I'm sure it didn't originally have anything to do with Star Wars...the furthest I can remember using the name was my Armored Core pilot name, "Ace Darkside."

The 55 is from my old hotmail account. Coincidently it's like a combination of my two favorite numbers (2 and 5, being two fives), so I tack it onto certain names.

Avatar: Imperial insignia with a lightning bolt over it.

Current Sig: Top part is a lyric from Matthew Good Band's song, "Weapon."

Bottom part is from Naruto. When Orochimaru tears off his face to reveal a baby-like face underneath, the 3rd Hokage calls him a terrible and inhuman existence. You see, he killed and possessed the body of that kid in his bid to live forever by transfering his mind into others' bodies.

I liked the quote; I find it fitting for me. It's strangely close to what a friend of mine jokingly said years before: "You're a terrible and evil man."
I also bear a striking resemblance to Orochimaru, and I have plans to definately crush Konoha.
 
My avatar is from the Half-Park series. It's the G-Man, South-Park style.

My name comes from a dream that a friend of mine had; where him, a friend of ours, and myself all had DBZ-like powers, and we all had a 'special attack'. My friends was 'WhiteZero', so I thought it was cool. I've been using it for about 5 years now.
 
Name: Spelt Salmon wrong one time, my first username, when i was new to the internet. But strangly enough, Samon was so much cooler than salmon.

Avatar: Dark energy. I think? Something to do with the universe, found it on google, looks cool, see? Samon = master of the universe

Wow, two people were influenced by the name "Icarus" besides me(one in an odd stalker way).

Anyway, mine came from three places. I orginally was Daedalus on "teh internets" and when I came here that name was taken, so I chose his son, Icarus. I also really liked the game Deus Ex, which Daedalus and Icarus were the names of the AI's in it, and I had really like "Die Another Day"(except the beginning) and the satellite that channeled the sun was called "ICARUS".

And my avatar? Well that's a custom job of the Windows Longhorn Bull.

Name: "kupo" means... well, It means pretty much whatever you want it to mean. For a bit of background, it is said by some fluffy bi-pedal cat-like creatures (with Bat Wings!) called Moogles in the Final Fantasy games.

"artist" means someone who creates stuff with artistic talent. Incidently, it's really quite inappropriate considering I have none of this talent. Therefore, my forum name means "Nothing+Something with no relevance to my abilities". "kupoartist" looks a lot cooler than its meanings :)

it's a Moogle that plays computer games that I "drew" a while ago. It looks quite cool in avatar form at least :)

Name: Just a unique name I made up seven years ago for the game Dragonrealms. I liked it, stuck with it. Turns out nobody knows how to spell the damn thing even if its flashing in bold letters on their screen.

Mostly non-computer things(besides WoW and Cosmos). Matter of fact, just got back from Stanfords Resturant and Bar. Finally giving some TLC to my blazer, and just takin' it easy. Go to the city more often now, and am lovin life.
 
Name: I just wanted to join the forums really fast, so I came up with a very, very lame name. I wasn't even thinking to take my nickname... The Brick. Would've been a better choise, though. I want my name to be "The Brick", but it's too late now.

Avatar: I took an original hl2.net picture, and modified it (with paint, the horror).

Signature: Well.. that's what some cs:s players typed when I was playing :) ...dumbasses...

Not exactly, if you beg a moderator to change your name they might, if you give a good enough reason. Its happened before.

Now I'm all decked out with my proper avatar pic to suit the new name. Made it myself from Smash TV screenshots.

Well, now that I look at it, does anyone think I should remove the name from the av, or what?

Heheh, fine. Like that stupid picture on the wall that I can't stop messing with, nudging back and forth, standing back from, still not convinced...

This is why I decided map-making wasn't for me. I'd spend hours doing and re-doing the simplest features.
