Let me point out that I'd only support an attack if they were developing Nuclear missiles, which is what 52% of Americans seem to believe, a clause you left out of your thread title.

Nuclear weapons threaten our world. The countries that do have them should make a binding agreement with each other to stop other countries developing them and to decommission them themselves. And to never ever use them.

You know what, guys? I personally think you're retarded too. The poll asked if they would support an attack if it turned out Iran was developing nuclear weapons. I fail to see what's so crazy about that, and I bet over half of you wouldn't even explain yourselves. This is a legitimate concern, and just because we are embarrassing when it comes to certain things does not mean we are a nation of retards unable to get anything right. There's pointed, justified criticism of the United States and then there's shameless bandwagoning. This forum seems too preoccupied with the latter.

I actulaly don't hate britain that much. Since I don't live in a city, I don't have that much chav problems, and most things are fine.
Still, some areas of Britain are might as well be tips.

Would the conflicts between India and Pakistan be good enough for you? I mean both of them have nuclear weapons, one of them is Islamic and under martial law, as of today, and yet nukes weren't used. Although Pakistan isn't under sharia law, many provinces do want to implement it.

I still don't think the president of Iran would use nukes either, even if you might think he is insane, because of his beliefs. Why do you think Iran would attack Israel, knowing, full well, that he and his country would be obliterated soon after. I just don't think he would give up all that power he has right now, for Israels destruction. It's the same reason you don't see people like Osama Bin Laden blowing himself up for his cause, since he is in a state of power, which he wouldn't want to give up. So it might not just be "rational thinking" that keeps two countries from blowing eachother up, but power can do the same thing.

Now if he were to hand of some nukes to a terrorist organization that might be a different story. Just don't expect it to be Al-Qaeda since Al-Qaeda is sunni and Iran is Shi'ite.

Once again, these polls are baseless. You cannot claim that 52% of America favors war with Iran when only 1,028 people were polled at random by telephone. 52% of the people polled at random by telephone may believe that, but it is not an accurate representation of America as a whole. We're talking about 300 million people or more, not 1,028 people picked in random demographics and locations across the U.S. I'm sick of these polls and I'm sick of you titling your threads and posts as if stuff like this accurately reflects American views as a whole, Stern. These polls mean nothing and if you think they're accurate, you're an idiot.
