Post your latest music tracks/WIP's and comment!

Heh, I don't know any other way to move to my music. Especially when sitting. I've been headbanging for years. Thanks for watching :)

Great stuff yourself! A more idm flavor in the drums there mixed with some good techno, kinda like the best of two worlds if you ask me.

mEATL

Rather than come up with clever names, I name them after typos I've made recently.

Raziaar asked me to do make some orchestral piano/violin stuff, so I spent about 2 hours on this.

Warning: presets-a-plenty

I quite like it though. Was getting bored near the end and so the flute solo isn't quite as good as I'd wanted.

I would have put dnb drums and shit in it, but Raziaar wanted just something like this.

That's really nice. The long attack on the strings at the beginning is sweet.

Wow Veggies, that was really, really good. Only problem was that I was waiting on the DnB breakout and it never came.

Haha, sorry. Maybe I'll get back to it and veggie it up.

Thanks guys.

Man... I just listened to it.

Holy shit, amazing! :O That's all I can really say. Thanks Vegeta!

DnB remix is currently in production. It's gonna be tight.

Lol, everytime I listen to Vegeta's song the huge cymbals scare the shit out of me

Also, everything from the last couple of pages has been great. Crazyharij's "PPP Disengage" has been stuck in my head for a while now D: :D

lol, I think they are probably too loud. Quite funny though, a few times while I was working on it I had forgotten that I had loop on, and the loop start was right at one of the crashes, and if I let it go to the end of the loop unintentionally/not paying attention, I suddenly hear that. I've jumped quite a few times lol.

So... Here we go. http://media.putfile.com/Collab-38
It's pretty much still a WIP, and there are some kinda flawed empty bits and maybe it's too long.
I've been playing with some new synths - Zebra CM, CM101, and a Nintendo 64 imitation synth thing called Unknown 64 Pro. Also some of the beats are effected with OHMYGOD!. I'm not quite sure what genre this is, but... Yeah.

Those 8-bit sounds get kind of annoying, and the whole thing may be a bit repetitive for how long it is. Those are my only gripes though. Pretty groovy beat, and awesome bg sounds. Nice faster beat too.

Excellent track. Best of yours, imo. One thing drives me nuts though: the decay on the bass kick! Shorten it! It's drilling into my skull! That or just tune down the bass on it.

Okay, so I started playing around with Reason. I've never tried to make any electronic music before, so I'm a bit lost, but here's the beginning of something I've come up with...

http://www.dandoes.net/dreamthrall/song2.mp3

I'm not really sure where to take it from there... any comments/suggestions?

Vegeta, that's incredibly good. I love the way you've chopped your beat.
Dream, that shows some promise. I really like the clicky drums, but the main lead may need some more variation, and, at the moment, it sounds a bit like a buildup to a track rather than a track itself. But keep it up, nice work.

Thanks guys

I think the compressor might be doing a bit too much, I should have lowered the volumes of everything... The drums don't come through as clearly as I would have liked. Listening to them by themselves in Reason is damn cool, heh.

A killer bassline would have been cool too. Like Venetian Snares style.

Exceptionally good. Phaser is a little irritating though, and the drums could stand to be a little clearer, more compressed maybe. Agreed that it could use a bassline.

Any chance you could upload a high quality mp3?

Also, I finally have a job/the cash to get a MIDI keyboard. Money is still tight atm, so I think I'm going to have get a small 25 key M-Audio rather than the Novation synth/midi controller combo that I wanted. I'm also getting a midi interface to route my EMX through the program of my choice.

MP3 uploaded is already 192kbs. That not high enough? It really doesn't sound much clearer inside Reason itself.

The global mastering compressor I think is the cause of the drums not being so clear. I'm going to try lowering the volume of everything in Reason.

Edit: OK. Lowered the volume of the orchestra a bit too. It's very anti-loudness war now. The quiet parts are more quiet. Also it's 320kbps.

Qonfucius - Rtaining

He sent me this a while back. I opened it last night and decided it needed posting. Aside from some instrument tweaks by me, the track is 98% Qonfused's.

Veggie, I'm not a huge fan of your slow stuff but that video is lovely, and not just because it sounds a bit like Take On Me.

Phantom and Organic

My first ModPlug songs, Organic is the latest.

UT much?

Haven't posted here in a while, mostly because I've gone through a lull where I wasn't really liking much of what I made. Although that seems to have changed recently. So I'll just flush out some of the "worthwhile" content for now.

"Tropulsed" by Anasynth
A reworking of an older track I made. Here's the original.

"Alped" by Distisec
A pad patch 'n shit.

"Cavern" by Anasynth
Most recent WIP. I actually felt really good making this, so I'll probably go back and work with it more.

You just assigned instruments to a midi file, right?

Sounds cheesy.
