So you guys think it's worth paying the $10 for the full creator?
 
**** yes. Im going to. Ive had more fun with this trial version of the creature creator than I did with all of Mass Effect. And I liked Mass Effect.
 
More traditional dinosaur now. :p Pretty cool stuff... really want all those pieces now, though, hehe.

Point. Mass Effect was good, but I had more fun just making creatures in Spore...
 
I'll start posting some of my creations tomorrow, when I get a chance to play with it.
 
Ok it's official, EA are closing down access to Sporepedia for those who used the 'leaked' demo version, they're not deleting account merely stopping people from going online with the demo.

Will they allow those using the leaked demo access to online once it is unrolled on the 17th?
 
Well, it has happend for me and several of my friends who used the TPB torrent, saying the product code has been locked out from access to EAs servers.
 
I don't really remember who did them. I downloaded the screenshots of my favorites

some of Krynn's, xlucidx's flying thing, a couple of the ones CyberPitz did. the Toady, the blue and yellow one BHC just posted, the one Shamrock just posted, and several others I really liked.
 
I call it a totem-creature but now that you mention it, it does somewhat resemble a cactus!:LOL:

It's actually my most popular one out of my 4 creatures.xD

Wtf... I just got an email from EA store about my Spore CC preorder, saying that they changed the release date to the 18th. :(
 
Well, I couldn't work out how to get the Sporepedia working inside the char creator anyway, so nyeh.
 
If you buy the creature creater, then will you save $10 off SPORE? That's what I read somewhere. Oh and where can I find it? Will it be online only?

This is what happens when you post on the forums first thing in the morning.

I'll use this as an excuse to post my first ever gif animations from Spore.
Incredibly shit, deleted the creature afterwards.

I'm having the saving problem too. What should be in that folder? I have .png files of my creatures, but that's it, no actual data.
 
That's all you need to import a creature. If someone sends you their .png from that folder you can open their creature in the editor.

If your creatures are still there in that folder, try moving them out (to the parent directory or whatever) and then back in. The missing ones should then show up under 'Everything'.

Nope, that did not work.

The strange thing is, on the side bar, the number acknowledges the creatures I've made (ie 3 under 'My creations' and 33 under all) but they do not show up in the actual list.
 
Try moving them out, opening the editor, closing it, then moving them back, then opening the editor again. Those are the precise steps that worked in my case.

Also, you're meant to be able to drag those PNG's straight into the editor from your desktop or explorer too, which would surely work, but personally I've not figured out a way to have botht he editor and an explorer window open at the same time, since the editor is fullscreen.
 
It does, but you can get access to the creature creator EARLIER by paying 10 USD for it.
