PreLoad Delayed

No idea, it just isn't out so far... take from tha what you will.
 
its just a preload, which isnt that big of a deal. That raises the question: Why can't they just do it then if its only a preload?

It's basically 14 pages of anger [and counting].
 
Meh if its delayed it means two things:

1. They are still changes textures slightly etc (which is a good thing right? Perfect till the end)
2. They didn't want to kill their servers.

Simple people, you can't play it any sooner, Valve know what they are doing.
The game is closer then ever....
Pass the time in productive ways

I've said this before and I am going to say this again. I only needed Doom 3 or HL2 to be released for 2004. The other one can take its time. Since Doom 3 has already been released, I won't mind waiting for HL2 for another six months or so. Be happy that we have a decent game with Doom 3 and we have Rome: Total War coming up. I want Valve to take their time with HL2. If they need the extra time, let them take it.

Why does the community have to answer for VALVe? Shouldn't they be telling us what the friggen prob is?
 
valve at least told us why they delayed last time. now there is a delay for telling us why they delayed
 
OK I am done for tonight. I am very VERY dissapointed in VALVe. I hope your happy; you guys killed a small shimmer of hope in my gaming soul.

Well even though what they have done isn't ideal, im sure they will explain why they missed it within the next few days...unless they have started the upload by then.

I dont understand why anyones bothered?

So you cant have a crapload of content sitting on your hdd doing nothing? Boo ****ing hoo.

public HL2 preload, rescheduled, then missed

you don't get it, son, the preload signifies the first time where valve's announced date has taken effect in the form of something tangible. until this happens hl2 could come out next year for all we know

I swear, if hl2 is delayed for another year, I will e-mail gabe and tell him i think he is a lieing gay person.
 
Valve arn't lying with the release dates...
They are just getting you in the mood of thinking conspiracys so as to better enjoy HL2...
 
We've seen this post too many times for a single game, it isn't good at all. I personally want it to pre-load so I have some indication that it is close to done

closer than its been before. Now, it may takes so long to release
that time starts over or reverses and every passing day we get further away from its release.

its coming out soon ... trust in me ... i am platinum ... believe me ... its coming out soon ... i am your best source for info ... next to valve ... hl2 will come soon ... and you will be amazed
 
yo ****ass's i like halflife too but be patient this game is going to make everyone cream in their pants, its well worth the wait plus its only 10 over where valve is located they might be working really hard to get it out
 
If they're having this much trouble with a pre-load, it gives me zero confidence buying through Steam.

No extra ~25% revenue from my purchase. ;(

yo you are sooo right, i mean seriously, sk8 is the most sensable person, he doesnt have anger, hes got anticipation instead, the game will rule, just knock yourself out w/ some gas till september 30th, the game has to be out by then
