Quake Wars: Public Beta Next Week

It's f*cking late.

EDIT: Nevermind. But now I've got a damn server error. What the hell.
 
I got a key, just keep trying and you will eventually get through guys, took me 4 tries.:)
 
Got my key. Now to hope my wireless doesn't drop out for 30 seconds during the download...
 
Wee, got a key, on my first try. I didn`t even want it that bad.

i got my key and also that server is very slowwww im getting like 75kbs.
 
The FPS is terrible when you're running around in a house, impossible to aim at anything. I'll see if that 30FPS unlock does it any better.

So describe to someone who hasn't played a game of this type how it goes. How much time is spent doing your FPS chores and how much is spent, eh, doing other things?

Umbongo? I only found a couple obscure references to this in the forums. It wasn't me, but do tell.
 
I got a key and had a quick game. Ran perfectly fine with everything on high/ultra with 2x AA and 8x AF.

Gameplay was ok, I need to have a proper play though.

Actually he's playing it at this very moment. Bastard. So far I've been waiting 1:13 hrs in line for the download. Including the previous attempt which failed at place 148/1360 after 45 mins of waiting. :frown:
 
I -CANT- play, get a constant fatal error whenever I try to start the game "Image '_default' was generated with internal format 0x83f0 but GL returned 0x83f2" >_<
 
Been playing Football Manager Live Beta too much to play this again

Hard thing to say about this game. I just spent 1 hour and 30 minutes and it's almost like BF2. Well idk I think BF2 is more fun I guess. It's really frantic gameplay and you have to have super accurate aim which I hate. In BF2 it was much slower while is complete chaos. The battle mech I loved and kept racking up the kills. It's a fun game and idk if I'm going to buy it. *Also it gets really grainy when you zoom in like a scope. Impossible to snipe trying to kill the Flash with a grainy picture.
 
How do you zoom in with a scope? I tried the sniper and I could only turn on and off the scope, couldn't zoom in.

For the most part I like it, it's faster then Battlefield but it's supposed to be, except for maybe making the sprinting limited with a recharge time, the speed is ok (still not quite as fast as some people make the game out to be).

The vehicle controls need some work, like the tank's controls feel too loose, when I let go of the left button it still drifts left for a second before going straight.

The controls for infantry/vehicles/etc. that wouldn't be used at the same time need to be seperated, as in I should be able to assign prone and vehicle horn to the same button as they would never interfere with each other. (like in BF2/2142 and other games)

I've played it for about an hour. It's pretty easy. I already found a way to go (at least) twice as fast with the strogg hover thing. And I love to run people over with the hog while blowing the horn! :D

I played it for an hour now, and my first impression is IT SUCKS big time,

you can't compare this peece of shit with BF2,2142.......
 
It's ok.
Somewhat hectic gameplay.
Good luck playing it without a manual though.
I haven't figured half of the games weapons/features out yet.
It's not as good as i hoped it to be.
 
Got my key after thirty or so tries, started downloading @ 35k ,went out and spent evening with gf got back and its still downloading.

Man, sometimes I wish my neighbours wifi was faster. ;)
 
The game is starting to remind me of RTCW: ET more than it is BF2. Alot faster paced, having to build something for an objective and what not >_>
