Honestly, I didn't laugh as much as I expected to do watching an eddie murphy movie.

The recruit
10/10
Wow, just wow. You should really see this movie if you already haven't.

Die hard 4 (Live free or die hard)
9.5/10
It was very cool, the story, the special effects... but to be honest, there are some parts you just can't believe. That's why in my opinion it doesn't get a full 10.
for example it just doesn't make sense
for a 60-year-old dude to jump on an f-36 in mid air
Other than that, it was a great movie.

Who's Your Daddy? - 8/10

It's one of those 'under the radar' movies, I just seen it on a DVD. A nerdy kid (who is adopted) inherits a porn magazine company from his biological parents when they die (about 30-40 minutes into the movie). He lives in a place that is almost EXACTLY like the playboy mansion. I liked it because of boobies. It's also pretty funneh. It reminded me of Girl Next Door the way it ends and everything.. Pretty similar.. Except this is an older movie (like '00 or something). Just watch it, you goons.

The Great Raid - 7.5...

Decent war movie, a bit cheesy and over the top in quite a few spots... but the action makes up for it.

Transformers:

+ Great CGI and special effects
+ MAXPLOSIONS!

- crappy acting
- crappy story
- where was the climax?
- there were all of like 6 transformers

Final Score 4/10

Hills Have Eyes 2 : 7/10

If you currently living in India, then there is only 2 way to watch this flick, either you should have extra money to buy this flick online or simple way torrent. I choose 2 one, as I have or may rated first part of this movie on Hlf2.net? I was simply exciting to watch 2nd part.

Honestly speaking, I don not prefer IMDB's rating though I sometimes just take a look on their biased review. After finished watching this flick, I just take another look if they are somewhere matching to my view.

IMHO they missed the whole part; the movie is all about losing gravity to their end, if u not they you have surely missed the first part. It?s got all the stuff that a horror movie requires. (Based on ?real time scenes?, great environment specially that (NV mountains), sexy zombies OR whatever you can say.

At the bottom I just want to say, don't judge the movie by IMDB's rating.

It really doesn't stop the movie from being a shitty excuse of a sequel that was entirely not needed.

The Punisher(2004) - 7.9/10...
Fantastically over-the-top action movie.

Yeah, The Thing was the original and best. Shens was much worse.

Koyaanisqatsi - 8.9/10

Yowza. The sountrack was a mixed bag for me, some of the pieces were just perfect, others natrually sounded very dated to me. But the visuals are just amazing, hard to believe it's something from the early 80's.

Saving Private Ryan: 8/10
I'm glad to finally give this movie a watch after hearing so many good things about it. For the most part, it's a very deep, realistically-graphic depiction of several WWII battles. I didn't like the pacing, though. The movie kicks your ass for the first thirty minutes only to never regain that initial steam that it had.

I love Glass' work on those films. "The Grid" from the first film is epic.

Stardust - 9/10
I can't believe that it bombed at the box office.
Shows ya how much taste the American public lacks.
If you loved The Princess Bride/Hook you are going to enjoy this too.

Heh. I had no idea it was a trilogy. :O

I'll definitely get round to checking out the others as soon as I can. How'd they compare to the first?

Indeed, not quite, but the last battle was certainly fantastic.

It was more a failure of advertising. It never looked like anything more than another generic fantasy movie in most of the commercials.

Death Proof - 0/10...

Booooooooooooooooooooring! Christ, I just stopped watching it after paying $4 for it on Pay Per View.
All it is is a bunch of trailer trash whores talking about their sex lives with Kurt Russel making a cameo appearance here and there. :|
Quentin Tarantino fails.

Donnie Darko: 8/10
As with Saving Private Ryan, Donnie Darko has been on my list of movies to watch; and I finally had the chance to watch it. I don't understand all of it, as I expected, so I'll have to keep my eyes open the second time around. Wanting to watch a movie a second time is the ultimate way to detect a good movie.

I think you might need to watch it a little more then 2 times

yeah it took me quite a few viewings of Donnie Darko before I was relatively confident as to what the hell was going on

Too bad, the ending made the entire movie for me. I was laughing for about five minutes straight because its so abrupt. :D

Meh, I'd have fallen asleep before the ending even came.

The Man from Earth 10/10 - One of the best sci-fi movies I've seen recently. A definite must see. Great acting and storytelling.

One Hour Photo: 9/10
Fantastic film. Robin Williams does a great job in acting this one out. He manages to let you realize how creepy his character is, yet you still feel bad for him. It's a very engaging story that never lets go until the end. Really really fantastic.

Forest Gump - 9/10

Great film with an awsome sense of humour.

Only one word to describe this movie: epic.

Beowulf - 8.9/10...

I was pleasantly surprised.
Gorgeous CGI, intense action sequences, great voice acting... it was just damn fun.
I'll probably see it again.

Spider-Man 3 - 7.3/10...

Great action spectacle... got waaay too corny in a lot of spots though.(parades, emo peter acting like hot shit, etc.).
And a lot of the drama was too overdone, I mean come on Mary Jane... stop being such an attention whore, damn.
The love triangle felt really tacked on and forcefully inserted.
Venom was such a let down, I mean... I was expecting him to be huge and vicious... instead we get a scrawny lizardy thing who didn't even die properly.
And making the Sandman Peter's Uncle's killer?... What the **** man, I guess they had to give Peter a reason to hate the guy.
I'm kind of glad he didn't kill him though, since his reason for doing the things he did was to help his dying daughter.

The special effects and action more than made up for the shitty parts though.

Deer Hunter - 8/10 - Saw it for the first time last week. Very emotional.

Garage 8/10
I normally don't like serious films, but I really liked this. It's not even dramatic. It's just honest and emotional. Not normally my kind of film, but very good.

Children of Men - 10/10
Still brilliant. The only non-comedy film I would consider giving 10.

Beowulf - 8/10
Very cool. 300 with a plot.
Beowulf - 8/10

Why the f*ck are people comparing this to 300? Honestly, it should be judged on its own merits.

First off, it must be seen in 3D. It absolutely has to be. It adds to the experience so much and it looks incredible.

Secondly, the story is clearly condensed and changed in various ways, but it still carries the same main messages as the epic poem. It moves a bit quick, but it's understandable. Still, a bit of story inbetween jumps would be nice.

All actors do pretty well except for Angelina Jolie. She's not horrible, but she's not the best, either.

I took off two points for gaps in the story and Angelina Jolie's acting. I'd say everything else is phenomenal. Oh, and the final fight is truly epic. It's a must-see, I'd say.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 5/10 and that's being generous. I really didn't like it. I was very dissapointed with it. I was expecting so much more. Some of you may think my review is harsh, but it's what I thought about it. 2 stars.
