Oceans Thirteen - 9/10

Great plot, and I enjoyed seeing every
enemy from the previous ones in there as well. Though the whole "police/government people are truly part of the con, but you don't know that yet..." part was over used...
but that's why I docked a point. Otherwise, the jokes were great, acting was perfect. It was what I expected it to be.

Hitman - 8/10

Surprised and relieved. He doesnt actually make a bad 47, but hes a bit too soft and they didnt incorporate the disguises and cool ways off killing people that 47 does.

Quite entertaining, if somewhat hard to follow whats going on about 1/4-1/2 way through.

The King Of Comedy - 9/10.

Hilarious at times, De Niro is so good, people like his fame crazed character are ten a penny these days.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - 9/10

I must've seen that movie 20 times, it never gets old.

Best Jack Nicholson performance ever, and one of the best movies ever made as well. The book is even better.

The Mist - 9.5/10

Having never read the novella, I can't really compare the two. What I can do, though, is tell you that the movie is about as bleak and black as things can get. A damn fine horror movie. It's a shame we don't see more like this and less of those torture porn shitfests. Aside from a few easily forseeable moments, this movie is an absolute ride. I don't really want to give away anything, but if you're a fan of horror in any way, you really owe it to yourself to see this movie.

Zodiac: 9.5/10

A very good creepy mystery movie. Lol'd at, "I used those knives to kill a chicken."

I can understand disliking the Godfather and the Godfather II, but none of you is so bellicose about it as to suggest that they're bad movies, I hope.

Heheh, well the reason I can understand not liking them is because some people might not be patient enough to appreciate them. I think they're masterpieces.

I agree, I could not actually find one fault with the first two, I mean

*SPOILER* the scene at the end of the first, where he being asked to repress the sins at his Godchild's christianing, and while he is doing that, his mob cronies are taking out his competition, one of the greatest scenes I have ever seen. Genious.*END SPOILER*

And yes you do need patience to really appreciate how amazing the story is.

The acting in the first two is just suberb. The third one isn't as good as the first two, but certainly not as bad as some people make it sound like IMO.

yes qft.

Lost in Translation: 9/10

A beautiful and endearing film that never fails to lift me; I cannot lavish it with enough praise.

Truth, tbh.

The first two were atleast watchable though.

The third Godfather was a shit storm of epic proportions. Unlike the first two, where there was a payoff to watching the movie with patience, the third one contained nothing interesting whatsoever. *SPOILER* the only scene worth watching was when the chopper flew over the boss meeting and blasted everything to oblivion. There were no characters that you cared about except Michael and for the most part the acting was laughable. I'm not sure how Coppola deviated so greatly from the first two, but his mistake is right up there with George Lucas releasing Star wars Pt. I and II.

Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind: ?/10
Finally gave this a watch and... I just don't know. The movie was engaging and had a really good story/plot but... I don't know... uhg.

Inside Man - 6/10

I'm really getting tired of twist endings like these in heist films. Won't spoil it here, but you can see it a mile away at the start any way. And when it finally hit, I found myself being disappointed.

? = 10. Love that movie.

Absinthe, I agree. Although I would give it a 7/10.

I watched all the Godfather parts in the last three days and enjoyed them. But I have to agree that the third part was the weakest, though the ending was powerful.

*part III SPOILER*

I loved the scene where two goons break into Vincent's house. "HEY! I'm gonna do something to convince you. Don't get frightened, don't do any sudden movements, just watch me, all right? You hear what I said?" *BLAM*

I think it hurt that the third Godfather was made almost 20 years later than the first two. Coppola should have just kept riding the wave and made a decent conclusion.

American Gangster - 6.5/10

Reminded me of just about every other gang-related, "rise and fall" drug lord movie out there while watching it, except with a black man as the main role. Dreadfully long, as well.

Beowulf - 7/10
Yeah... idunno. Was pretty cool, but I didn't come away overly impressed either. The tickets were ****ing expensive at the place I went to, so maybe I'm a bit biased.

The graphics were... weird. On the one hand they're incredibly realistic, but on the other, they might as well have just used actors. :|

Beowulf - 7/10

Was ok, kinda dodgey, but was a lot of hilarious bits in it, I mean being carried into a room on a chair, just cracked me and my mate up.

Agreed, weeks later was good, but days later was a level above.

28 days later - 7/10
28 weeks later - 9+/10

Erm..

28 days later - 9/10
28 weeks later - 6/10 (yes that's how much I "liked" it)

And I've finaly seen V for vendeta, overall agood movie.

V for vendeta - 8/10

The Postman: 9/10

Fantastic film, haven't seen it in too long so watching it again was a ride. If you haven't seen it, get your hands on it and watch it now.

Cashback: 8/10
An odd mix of comedy and depression. A black comedy I guess it would be called.

Ocean's 13 - 7.8/10...
Very enjoyable, lots of fun to watch.

Knocked Up - 8.7/10...
****ing hilarious, even my mother got a kick out of it.

Clerks-8.5/10. A movie that relies entirely on dialog and telling a good story. Fantastic.
