Rambo IV

If you're the kind of troglodytic gamer who pops a tent over violence, graphical realism and especially graphically-realistic violence; if you're the kind of gamer who gets angry because the game part in your graphically-violent (and photorealistic!) rail shooter interferes with its flimsy story, then, boy, do I have a recommendation for you.

Did I mention that it's graphically violent?

I rate it WUARGH! for hysterical violence.

Hancock - 9/10

I know alot of people on here hated it for whatever reasons but I knew going it had a lukewarm reception, knew the type of movie it was, so I had no pre-conceptions about the movie it should be.

I loved it, it presented a new take on the superhero movie, and I was genuinely grabbed by the last 30 mins.

Can't wait for a sequel.

Star Wars:The Clone Wars - 4/10

A big pile of awkwardly acted meh.

They had to go and **** with the Hutts.

silent hill-6.5/10

not scary, cgi sucked, but it was still interesting. as I've said before, I wish the ending was a little different.

the x files i want to believe 6/10

Overall I liked it. Now admittedly I've never watched the x files before and so might not be as peeved as others but I liked it. Disappointing that there was no aliens and some of the plot points weren't explained greatly but still I enjoyed it.

BTW I heard there was a bit after the credits that I missed anyone know what happens in it?

Enchanted - 7/10...
Cheesy as hell but it was fun to watch.

Sunshine - 9/10

Spectacular film. I was totally blown away by this movie the first time I saw it, and I love watching it over and over again.

"I wan to believe" was a huge disappointment. I have no idea what was the point in doing this movie in the first place.

If you've never watched the series, I highly recommend you watch the first movie, X-Files: Fight the future. It has: aliens, government conspiracies, G-man wannabes, etc. Pretty much all the good elements from the series. However as a stand alone movie for someone that has never watched the series it could be kind of confusing.

Yeah I was going to get the complete collection anyway at some point so hey in the future you might see me having watched the full tv series and hating i want to believe

Tropic Thunder - 8.5/10

Good movie, good action, funny when it wants to be funny, etc etc. Worth admission, imo. Robert Downey Jr. is funny as a black guy.

Mallrats - 8/10

I first watched this... god knows how long ago. I was a lot younger anyway (not that I'm as old as house now at 18) but even so, there were a whole bucket full of jokes I must of missed when I first watched it as it felt totally fresh to me this time through. I really didn't like it back then but I can see myself watching all of Kevin Smiths films again this week to get a second perspective on them. Though I did like Chasing Amy anyway, Clerks and Dogma are most certainly getting a re-watch.

The Frighteners - 8/10

Still awesometacular. Peter J should go back to horror.

Tropic Thunder 9.5/10

A total blast, one of the funniest movies I've ever seen

I'm going to see a movie with my friends and it's between Tropic and Pineapple Express. Despite the high ratings, Tropic just looks lame. I don't care for Stiller and hate Black, and Downey's act look like it'd get old within ten minutes. Arhgrgrhrg...

Unless you're a stoner or know enough about weed, you probably should stay away from Pineapple Express. :p

Starship Troopers - 8.5/10...
One of my favorite action movies.

I thought the same thing about Downey, but I enjoyed everything he did in it. Everything from the fake trailers to the Tom Cruise scenes hit just the right note for me. Haven't laughed so hard in ages.

I knew I was gonna really love it when
the director exploded

Cloverfield - 7/10

Really enjoyed it, a very interesting style of filming, like with the Blair Witch Project. The sappy love themes pissed me off though.

Brokeback Mountain - 7/10. Yes, I watched "the gay cowboy movie" and I thought it was very cute. Although I personally thought it could have done with more squeeably cute scenes between Jack and Ennis.

Pineapple Express: 8/10
Better than Superbad in terms of funny. Surprisingly good action scenes as well.

Flood - 5.5/10. If it was the full four hour version it would be at least a nine, but, alas, it's not, therefore it only gets five-and-a-half. Annoyingly you can't buy the full version; the full release was only shown on TV and it will probably be quite a while before it's shown again, if ever.

Mr. Deeds Goes to Town: 10/10 - Gary Cooper is awesome. Classic story.

I think its a crime not to like Frank Capra films.

True Romance - 8.5/10

Awesome. Jesus think they had enough big names in there?

Grosse Point Blank - 10/10

Badass. Soft-faced John Cusack looks completely ridiculous going around killing people, and yet is entirely believable. Courts Minnie Driver's savage, sexy Miss Havisham. Dialogue zings like bullets, high school reunion is more scary than government assassins. The funniest, punchiest film I've seen in ages.

Tropic Thunder - 8.7/10...

FUNNIEST. MOVIE. OF. THE. YEAR.

Holy shit, the trailers were almost worth the admission alone.

Awake - yaaaawn/10...
Boring.

Baby carriage? I think I need to watch it again - That's the one with Sean Connery, right? I remember no carriage.
