I might check it out, as long as it isn't on the book "Ritual" or whatever like the new one.

Silent Hill

7.5/10

Stayed pretty faithful to the game. Brutal and freaky. I wish Pyramid Head would have had a bigger role in the movie though.

Queen of the Damned - 4/10... Shitty movie, great soundtrack.

Lost in Translation- 10/10

Holy ****, one of the best romances I've ever seen.

The Wicker Man-What the ****/10

Seriously, how the **** does one go about making this? Many may disagree with me, but it's probably because I have a low attention span when it comes to films riddled with dialogue/confusing stuff. I thought it was supposed to be a supernatural/horror/mystery. Man, should've seen Crank.

I'm with you on that. It wasn't at all what I expected of this movie. I'm just going to have to rate this 2/10 for what ever effort was made.

I also saw Little Miss Sunshine a couple weeks ago, and loved it. The whole thing was great and made a very realistic point on your everyday disfunctional family and the values...or rather, disvalues (is that even a word) of pagents. I give it a 10/10

Jamie Kennedy: Unwashed-10/10

My God, this man is so damn funny, it's not funny! "Hey! I thought I told you! I don't wanna see yo ass in front of Baby GAP no more!"

"So, hey, I said, uh, hey son, did you a, you know, uh, *whistles*?"
"Whistle and punch her in the c*nt?" I highly recommend this to everyone.

Agreed. Lost in Translation is a lovely movie :)

Horror? What was the original about?

Policeman. Flies to island in search of missing girl. Island filled with pagans. Sex rituals. More sex rituals. Several musical numbers. A huge pagan festival. Same ending as the new one.

Overall much better.

Severance - 7/10

People saying it's as good as Shaun of the Dead can go suck a urine-soaked flannel. But just because it's not as good doesn't mean it's not good in general. There are some pretty funny moments and the scares are really good until the silly final third. Danny Dyer is very good as the lead. And the last line of the film is inspired. Oooh, and extra points for a Dr Strangelove reference in the credits song.

Chronicles of Riddick
8/10
Yet another underrated movie.
It starts out slow and I was questioning Deisel's role here, but it only picks up speed as it progresses.
I am left wanting more.
There were a few inexplicable moments of luck and or ability, but not enough to detract my attention.

Sex rituals? I must see this movie.

The Island - I've only watched about and hour and 30 minutes of it at the moment as I had other things to do last night so I'll continue it tomorrow. I had no idea it was such a great movie. I love all the locations and futuristic stuff. Amazing. Plus, Sean Bean and Steve Buscemi. :)

The Godfather - has to be 10/10 really.

I hadn't seen it in ages. Still great, and with possibly the best end scene in a movie.

Hah. I just watched that yesterday (for the first time too!). I agree, 10/10. It's a shame they don't make movies like this anymore, it hasn't dated that much either. Superb acting, storyline and directed. It's slowly paced and it feels as if it's a novel more than a film, but that's a good thing. Great movie.

Same here. I love that movie. Cant wait for part 2 and 3.

We're doomed to disagree, _Z_Ryuken. I thought Chronicles was complete and utter poop from start to finish.

There's been talk of one more Godfather. I think Coppola is hammering out a script. It'd basically be Andy Garcia's character taking over the family and how he runs it into the ground with drugs and murders and stuff and the downfall of an empire.

Oh, but they do still make films like it if you look through the glimmering curtain that is the blockbuster, through to the lap-dancing booth behind full of the glories of films that never receive recognition but are easily as good as The Godfather.

I don't think there are many gangster movies as good as The Godfather trilogy. Scarface, Goodfellas, Carlito's Way, Mean Streets, A Bronx Tale, Once Upon a Time in America, Casino, Donnie Brasco - ok, there's quite a few good ones :) , but The Godfather is still up with the best.

While the game kicked ass, I never though bad of Chronicles. It wasn't incredibly awesome, but it seemed to succeed at being what it intended, which was a throwback to the old pulp science fiction serials.

Anyone who's read about him knows that Diesel's not a stupid guy, hes just a massive nerd sometimes.

Mean Girls - 8/10 - xD Shut up, i enjoyed it :p Few laughs in the film, good chick flick. Shame my girlfriend wasnt here with me at the time :p

Yea, it was actually somewhat enjoyable, I figured it'd be one of those "OMg CHIK FLIK SO GAY LOLARS!!" but it was alright.

Fantastic Four (2005):
8.2/10
Pure awesome.
Torch was a little too much jackass for me.
