No-one can know who is living if it is the truth or a sham. Surely, what truly may exist may not be religion as we see it and worship it today but i do believe in there being a God or higher power. I just find it to hard to believe that all that came to be today happened without something causing it. Life now seems too complex to not be intelligently designed.

And i know i am prepping myself for the inevitable "omg then how did god come around?/omg you are wrong wrong wrong i am right" post.

Disclaimer: I am not trashing or downgrading anyone's personal beliefs. I respect the right to believe in what you want to believe in.

I think Santa Claus exists and he created us, and he made up god to test our faith.

I looked at the title and thought "Oh, where will this go, I wonder?".

What a ridiculously oversimplified topic/OP. Religion shouldn't be blindly embraced or neglected entirely as rubbish. Understanding religion is incredibly important in understanding people and culture.

Yet on HL2.net it is such a binary situation.

You could be Hitler's bastard grandson and devour puppies, but once you say you're an atheist and would gladly let Dawkins sodomize you, you're a walking saint among HL2.netters.

Methinks religion topics on HL2.net are among the most pathetic threads on the Internet, inevitably ending in bling, fanatic rage of the atheists.

Be aware that your own rage, and that of those like you, is becoming equally tiring.

I am super-unimpressed that there are more "oh whine whine another religion thread I like where this is going" posts than there are actual attempts to engage with the subject. Oh well.
