The OJ case is one of those cases where there is physical evidence and stuff, but also a huge scandal on police negligence and evidence mishandling.

Just curious, how bad is crime in the worst parts of Canada you can think of?ugh what the hell are you eating? ..I spent 17 hours in an american jail ..food found on the floor in the back of an alley has more nutritional value
there are more than a few cases of DNA wrongly convicting someone, it's not foolproof

in any event this is canada; no captial punishment
What DO Canadians do with these types of prisoners?I dont know ..is murder, rape, theft and assault bad? cuz canada has all of those things
Well, my point is that repeated offenders just don't seem to have a reason to stay out of jail. It seems like that they have nothing to fear from being in prison other than being raped by tiny or Tyrone, and that would actually be a pleasure to them if they were gay. If I'm gonna have to spend tax dollars on these losers, at least make it a second hell on Earth so they wish they never would have screwed up in the first place. I mean hell, alot of law-abiding Americans don't even have health insurance for crying out loud and these bastards get free dental AND medical, plus three square meals a day, and TWO of the meals HAVE to be HOT meals.Give me a f**** break! Or better yet, just go ahead an euthanize the ones with three life sentences to avoid the whole mess altogether. I can see a trial yes, because it could be possible that someone could get wrongfully incarcerated without a decent judicial system in place, but if they were caught red-handed (literally) why just put him in prison for life when it would be cheaper (for the working man, not the goddamn government, they don't pay for squat. People don't seem to realize that) just to put him out of his misery?put them in prison? why do you ask? do other countries use them for fuel in giant fireplaces to warm the sidewalks for the rich folk walking overhead? perhaps they're boiled down to their essential fats and made into soap?
what's your point AND before you answer that let it be known that captial punishment is only legal in some states AND it's only ever used under very specific sets of circumstances ...like cop murder etc

Yes, this is how it currently is in the U.S., and it's all wrong. Why waste all that time and money on a deathrow inmate. A life sentence too?!? Just plug'em in the brain as soon as they are convicted and are proven to be guilty without a shadow of a doubt. *BANG* it's over.sigh ..first of all every single person who is on death row would have recieved a life sentence with no chance of parole: the maximum sentence ..which is what captial punishment is: the maximun sentence
YOU sir, are incorrect, because I never said anything of the sort. I didn't say that's how it is, rather how it should be in order to do some "spring cleaning" within' the correctional facilities...your suggestion that repeat offenders are dealt with by the death penalty is incorrect, if they're repeat offenders it's coinicidence and not the reason why they're on death row ..no one is sentenced to death for simply re-offending
I need some numbers. I'll have to check into it some more, unless you already have a link somewhere.oh and sentencing someone to death row is far more expensive than simplyly throwing them in prison ..AND is completely ineffectual as a deterent
What facts need straigtening again? I was mainly just stating my opinions, oh well.please get your facts straight before entering a discussion

True, speculating doesn't mean a thing, but it does help blow some steam about the wrongful going-ons in the world. There's not a damn thing any of us can do about it it seems.that couldnt possibly be put into law so speculating is meaningless
That's better. Your probably right in most cases, but simply because I don't really feel like arguing beyond the evidence you've provided. I lose by default unless I can provide a counter-arguement to continue the discussion. Your probably saying, "then what are you doing here?" right? Well, just random thoughts mainly, I don't really have anything to benefit from arguing too much because and like I said, there's naught much we can do but watch. Really though, it's not worth my time to argue, I really couldn't be arsed. Furthermore which corrupt politician/PR can we trust anymore, seriously? As valid as you might think that source is, who knows but the author?
Which in particular? You mean how I mentioned how even death-row inmates get three square meals a day up until the day of execution? Also how death-row inmates actually serve a life sentence anyways before the execution, thereby making execution pointless?you made certain statements on the death penalty that were not factual ..so ....
Put them in prison for a while, then let them go.What DO Canadians do with these types of prisoners?
I liked the idea that inmates be forced to complete a jigsaw puzzle while in prison, the number of pieces being proportional to the severity of the sentence. Upon completion, they are given freedom. Teenage hooliganism might result in 1000 pieces, murderers might get 500000000 pieces. Of course this would render puzzle savants immune to the law.
