Have you guys seen any promos for this new series? It's got Jamie Chung from Real World: San Diego. She plays some ninja running around killing to get answers about her families involvement in the mafia. Her, plus Stacy Keibler is in it... may have to check this one out.

A chinese girl playing a Samurai? Bollocks!

Oh okay yeah that looks spectacularly horrible.

If only by that japs remark.

Although the whole thing is pretty offensive. Offensive to my taste of things that are good. In that it isn't.

Good I mean.

I bet the japs are offended.

Probably, same as they were by the casting of Memories of a Geisha but as there's a clear lack of recognizable English speaking Japanese actresses doing the rounds in Hollywood I guess they will have to lump it. The only one that springs to mind is Devon Aoki (of Fast and Furious 2 & DOA fame), and she's half American.

Anyhows looks predictable.

I think it will be successful in the right demographics (kids). ABC Family has tried some new "edgier" programming as of late, I mean they have a huge hit in Greek, so I think it's a cool idea for them to try this out... sort of like a Kill Bill for kids.

Well judging by the trailer it looks like Jamie Chung gets trained by Brendan Fehr who was on CSI Miami for a while, so I guess they can get any nationality to play a Samurai.
