on a side note: this is a canadian thread as stated in the title "serious discussion - obut the theory of evolution"

The WW2 issue that I have problems with concerning America isnt the nukes its the fact they wouldnt join their allies in fighting, and only joined the war effort after Pearl Harbor. Great, where were you the first three years when your allies were suffering thousands upon thousands of casualties.
 
The U.S. only join World War 1 when Germany sunk to many U-Boats and tried to convince Mexico to invade them.

We thougth ti wasn't our fight but we did send supplies. And actually jsut before peral harbor happened the president did feel that we would have to enter the war sooner or later but the american people didn't want to like i said we felt it wasn't our fight. But it was better that we entered after WW2 things might of ended up differently if we had entered earlier. That fighting spirit that americans felt after we were attacked wouldn't have existed if we wnet in earlier and that would of made a huge difference int he war and who knows we might of lost. Just be happy things happened the way they did cuz the allies ended up winning if things went differently we may have lost.

Your right the only reason we entered is cuz there was a threat of Mexico invading. But yet again we felt it wasn't our war.

America didn't really want to go to war because of America's mixed population would cause a problem and Woodrow felt that it was a European issue...

What are you referring to that drafting thing htat became issues during the civil war and vietnam war. When the minorities were drafted and the rich could skip out of the notice by paying the right price.
 
My point was just that SOME (keyword some dont get all worked up) Americans like to think they were the single reason the Alllies won both wars and my point was they had an advantage in joining as a fresh army in a 2-3 year old war of atrition. And that while youd never know it as you never see it, Canada was involved in the war and some of the most important victories are attributed to Canadian forces, mostly the battles of Vimy Ridge and Ypres

Also war movies are 90% of the time slanted towards America.

Oh yea i know we arn't the only reason WW2 was won yea we did help out a bit but if russia wwasn't fighting we would of gotten destroyed and if america wasn't fighting russia would have gotten destroyed. really the thing that lost WW2 for germany was, besdies years of war, that they were spread way to thin they coudlnt fight in two fronts at the same time. and thank you for pointing out some lol i would have to admit it sometimes i get to hot headed its a probelm i have.

Where all Americans brave and honorable soldiers? No
Where all Germans ruthless Nazis? No
Where Canadians just a gear turned in the British Empire war machine? No, we independently and free of duress declared war on Germany

Hey, I'm gonna cut off the lame fest, this isn't about world superpowers, theirs a thread for that, it isn't about cats, it isn't about your personal issues, it about da' evolution. Also you basically explained yourself in what you just said mullinator, I mean if it was from two humans initially and they were seperated as you said to colder climates or hotter climates people with darker skin etc. Would have a advantage and thus reproduce so on so on, skin color is a really simplistic trait and its not actually that odd a thing, nor is things such as nose structure, hair color, body composition, etc. You can see quite frequently various sub-species of say birds that are the same but different colors or whatever due to seperation over a period of time.

Crap well it was funny while it lasted.....But might as well get back on topic.I would have to agree with mullinators theory...it's prolly the most logical one.Where all pretty much brothers and sisters.We all came from one mirco-organism in scientfic terms and in religous terms we all came from adam and eve.

You mentioned movies? Ok i know all that we have our dirt bags just like you do just like all other countries do. And actually a lot of german soldiers wern't ruthless nazis the SS and Gestapo were the ruthless nazis responsible for the attrotcities in WW2. and i know Canada declared war on Germany on its own by then it was its own country.

Adam and Eve not true but yea we all came from oen organism I wouldn't go as far as to say that we're all brothers and sisters though.

Raptor you can prove Adam and Eve theory is false just about as much as you can prove the one celled organism theory is true.

There are animal bones that are older than human bones if adam and eve existed then they all would be dead aroudn the same time. aand guinny the organism proof takes to long to type i'll explain it to you over ht ephone if you want but remember its jsut a theory not rock solid, it's a pretty good one though.
