If some people chose to follow some vaguely associated cultural values without recognising the main significance of the thing they are following, well, who cares what happens to them. Yes, but homosexuality is often predetermined from birth. I'm sure you could supress homosexuality with constant "homosexuality is evil" progaganda from day 1, but then it'd be hetrosexuality out of the willingness to conform, not actually feeling it. Same with homosexuality. If a kid was born on "Gay Island" where homosexuality was the only sexuality, and reproduction was done with billions of stored sperm, I guess they'd grow up gay out of conformation too.

But yeah, I think generally people are born one way or another, and it's simply a differing brain thing.
