the goatse guy passed away last year.
I have 3 points to make:
1) If this is real and it gets distributed, people in other countries will download it too and the FBI will have a hard time going worldwide.
2) Gabe said that the people who hacked into their computers copied the source code folder. He didn't say anything about the content or a compiled version of the game being downloaded.
3) There was also a statement a while back saying that for the first two weeks, HL2 single player would have to be authed through Steam anyway. Even if you do get it, you probably won't be able to play it unless there is a no-steam patch.
I doubt I'll download it. I live in Canada though, so it's not like I'll get smashed.

The delay kind of makes me happy; I will be able to get a good graphics card for a bit cheaper for the release of this.
Anyways, even if I had a GFX card good enough for this, I wouldn't DL this. I doubt it is real, and it is one of those things I want so much I have patience, because I know it will kick my ass, Max Payne 2's ass, Halo 2's ass, Doom 3's ass, all of your asses, and everybody's/thing's ass.

I doubt those are maps, but creating a dummy half life file is kind of fun. I went to college in st. louis and my friend at school did somehthing like that for my school's direct connect server. name a file washufirsttimeanal.mpeg something or toher. It was just a vid of him and his high school firends and we just got a kick out of all the morons downloading it?
