StarCraft II

I want to reference that infographic without quoting it. What's with The Frozen Throne selling more than the original Warcraft 3?

You can play on Battle.net if your FT have a valid key even if your RoC does not. At least I think that's how it works.

Gunna play some StarCraft 1 right now. I haven't played it in a few months

When did they make a second space machine shooter marine game space ship?

Just pre-ordered Starcraft 2 from the closest store in Boston at the Prudential Centre, if anyone in the area knows where that is. Going to go to the midnight launch there. First ever, and they're offering plenty of prizes.

I tried to laugh but it seemed like a tired concept. Fun... but not very well acted or funny.

I wonder why people think when they make faux movie trailers they can just throw stuff together randomly. Movie trailers are best when they make some sense and describe what it's about... not just "hey look these are things that might happen. Then it would at least be a little entertaining...

Looks like not even the press will be getting SC2 for review until the public does.

Dont expect any scores until wednesday it seems.

There will be no reviews of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty before its launch on Tuesday next week, Eurogamer can reveal. All press will be experiencing it for the first time alongside the rest of you.

Blizzard was unable to offer an official comment at time of writing. However, we understand from our conversations with the developer-publisher that the new Battle.net service and its online features are so integral to the game that it would be both impractical and undesirable for press to review it before servers go live.

Apparently Blizzard will be turning on Battle.net at 11pm on monday night, so anyone with early copies can play it through the midnight release and into the morning when the majority of people will be recieving theirs.

And I guess technically the Aussies and Zealanders will be playing it first.

For some reason I thought it was a friday release, until I checked the pre-order and saw it was tuesday. Anticipation raised a fair amount as a result.

Good. They can suffer with the rest of us.

Anyway, I don't care about the game review of this game. I'm buying it regardless of the review.

Oh for sure, nobody is going to care about reviews, but I think this says alot about Blizzard's (Activision's) marketing technique.

The Battle.net is a bollocks excuse, I mean if you added LAN it would be fine *cough*.

Why push marketing through reviews when you know its going to sell well. Save some pennies.

Removal of LAN doesn't really bother me. But what bothers me the most is the adding of this ******ry thing call facebook and total removal of chat rooms.

I miss old battle net experience already...

Oh god I'm experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

Watching some battle reports, and Im starting to get impatient for tuesday.

Always love this old-skool strategy gameplay.

aw yeah, just preordered it, will have it in my hands at midnight tomorrow

I am pretty pumped to get my hands on this, continually checking Amazon to see if it's shipped. Hopefully Natural Selection 2 will get my mind off of it tomorrow, for a couple hours at least.

I got a text this afternoon from Gamestop telling me to come at 10 PM. Why would I come that early? Are they giving shit away?

The guy at the Gamestop near me told me to come at 11:30pm, so you can register early and not wait in line at midnight. Maybe your town is bigger than mine by 400% :p

Probably not... I imagine that I'm going to be one of the only people over there. I don't know any other PC gamers around here anymore. Are they giving things away or anything? I don't want to go early and stand around like a dildo for 2 hours or even one hour.

So pumped for the launch party tomorrow. Should be fun. T minus 23 hours.

Wow I didn't know it was midnight release worldwide.... hell the people in California are some of the last people to get it.

Haha, we in Korea might actually get them first. :p

So we'll have 12 more hours or so compared to the people in California, so we can tell all kinds of spoilers about the campaign. :D

(Of course, that'd be pure, pure, evil, like Holocaust-evil. So I'll refrain from doing so)

Wonder how many copies they produced.

Won't be surprised if they don't have enough to go around.

Digital copy only for Korea, so they don't have to worry about retailers running out. Which kinda makes me feel sad.

One day, maybe one day, I'll actually get around to playing SC1.

Since you only have one more day till you forget it forever go now! googogogogogogogogo

Well, I have it installed and in 25 minutes it will officially be the start of 12 days off from Work, so maybe I'll give it a run through today .. nobody needs sleep after a 12 hour shift anyway!

Digital Copies? Do you still get the manuals and whatever small bonuses blizzard threw in the retail copies?

I would assume they'd still get things at some point... I mean do you still get to buy the collector's edition? I figured that would be a place where they'd sell a lot of them. I understand the digital action since it's Korea and everyone has broadband... I just can't see Blizzard having enough bandwidth ready for millions of simultaneous downloads.

However, I don't think they'll have any problem covering the demand. The only reason companies have problems covering a demand is manufacturing or retarded distributors. Manufacturing is a breeze when it comes to software since the actual product costs pennies in materials. Since they're distributing through soooo many venues I doubt they'll have any issues at all. If you can't get your gamestop copy, wal-mart will probably have a stack of a few hundred and we all know there's a wal-mart every 20 feet. There are three within 15 miles of me and seven within 35.

Some things are just worth fighting for.

Best part of the final trailer: Raynor getting handed his Marshal badge.

I actually got StarCraft 1 and Brood War, just for single-player though since I suck at RTSes which makes online boring as **** since it basically just consists of me getting my ass handed to me by everyone and their grandmothers.

Anyway, replaying it now, and might decide to be a wasteful moron and buy SC2 just to experience the SP, and perhaps even try SOME online with you guys.

No, Only the manual in PDF form. :(

It's Blizzard's idea of a joke, you see.

No, no retail nor collector's editions. This makes us sad, and makes us feel like killing Blizzard Korea employees.

So would you guys do the new and improved somehow more sexy infested Kerrigan?

I'd totally become a human virus bomb for a chance at that sloppy, scaly vag

Eh, the new improved old uninfested Kerrigan seems much better.

I like the power infested Kerrigan yields. I need a damn queen, not some foot soldier wuss who takes ordered from some neckbeard in a Battle Cruiser.

Plus, I enjoy the idea of being corrupted as we elope and becoming the king of blades and having awesome royalty-****s with little miss badass with her exotic dreads and questionable, undoubtably more interesting nether regions. Pretty sure infestation comes with Infestedkerrigansex, and probably growing some awesome badass wings and commanding immense power. Sign me up.

Potential porn cash-in for Bob Kotick here, Blizzard should outsource development of the dating sim mini-game to Treyarch and create a reality show akin to Tila Tequila on NBC. Everyone wants a crack at that tight lil' spawning pool. Dating sim will be three part as well cept' with micro-transactions for additional haircuts, positions and RED DOT SIGHTS GRENADE LAUNCHERS and special infestation proof condoms or something.
