StarCraft II

I can't say I understand. I've never seen an open beta contain the entire single player of a finished game. Not to mention the open beta is over... considering the game is released. I'm starting to think you've actually been hallucinating for the past 23 hours.

maybe he mistaked the multiplayer for the single player?

Thanks for the kind words, you guys. In all seriousness, to speak as BHC for a moment, they mean a lot to me right now.

You can call me a hypocritical little shit from now on. I bought SC2 to make my bro happy.

Shame on me. :(

That's... the sweetest thing you've ever posted. You'll see him and hijack it asaps right?

bawww :D

I keep hearing good things. going to get my copy at work today. I would have gotten it sooner but had to get my car Inspection today really early and I hate pulling all nighters then going straight to work. Also do you think the collectors edition of the strategy guide would be worth collecting and selling in the distant future??

To note the length of the single player, I am only 1/3rd finished through all the bonus missions and objectives after 9 continuous hours of play on HARD difficulty.

I'm having a blast. Haven't touched singleplayer yet, but could not stop co-oping with my friends.

Friends will die. Single player will be awesome forever. Play it first.

Besides everyone's prolly playing Terran in multiplayer now. I wanna come back when I can be Terran and not have to fight 37 other Terrans.

I ****ING BOUGHT IT. GOD DAMN. OFF TO TAKE A SHOWER BECAUSE I RAN THE ENTIRE WAY FROM WORK TO HOME JUST SO I COULD PLAY IT ASAP

Screw you guys, I still have to wait like 6 hours till I get home and am able to play.

I hate you.

Now I wish I would have sprang the extra $40 for the collector's edition. Oh well it's too late now. Shouldn't spend that kind of money anyways. I don't own any collector's editions yet... though Bioware tends to make those enticing.

when installing it it goes permant to a user like steam games?

cuz maybe there is hopes to see it in the used sections of a store......right?

I wish Blizzard'd do a demo, because I really want to try the game but I don't want to pay 50 bucks for a game I might not like at all.:|

It's $60. And you could find someone who has it and have them give you one of their "try it" codes. I'm not sure what all you can do, but I'm assuming at least multiplayer. It's a weak version of the "spawn" system from the early one. THey also include WoW 10 day passes that you can get for free anyways.

I'm thinking of installing it on my laptop. I don't know the min requirements but should I assume that if I can run all of the HL2's and all of the COD's and both of the Bioshocks that I can also run Starcraft?

Yes, the game was designed with low spec systems in mind.

I can give you a trial code for 7 hours of play time, if you want.

I'm good, already got the problem solved.

Thanks regardless Pitz(And other anonymous people who also offered me codes on here)!

And now that Starcraft 2 is done, maybe they can now focus on finishing Diablo 3? :D

*Everone in the forums throws empty cans and boxes at T-6000*

Ok, maybe I deserved that.

Or get working on a World of StarCraft!

Been playing on hard, 4 missions so far. It isn't hard at all though, but I know I've only just begun.

Yeah, you have no idea yet. Ive been doing the same. Get 2 or 3 medics in there and its lolz-ville all the way through.

Then the swarms come and..ahem..

Im enjoying the different aspects theyve added like night and day during missions, the rising lava as we have seen in the trailers etc.

It completely changes your tactics, and you have to react fairly quickly even though they usually have a countdown you can constantly see, and what with the sirens blaring, being told your time is almost up, and the big banner that might as well come across the screen saying ''YOU'RE ALMOST OUT OF TIME, REACT NOW''.

But I still got gg'd on one of the side missions. Pushed my luck too far and didnt get back to base in time.

I'm playing on normal. :p Yes, it's very easy, but there's nothing I hate more than redoing missions!

It's quite a bit better than I was expecting so far and I've just done a few missions. The stuff in-between missions is pretty cool... the conversations, upgrades, mercs.

****ing Firebats are too god damn awesome not to be in the multiplayer. Hell, the medics too!

We've only just beguuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun...

Sorry that always makes me thing of 1408 and how scary that song became.

I guess I have to jack it off to hard (lol) to make it more difficult. I mean that escort mission was a little tough just because I didn't know they were just gonna take off the first time so I wasn't ready. Then afterwards I basically just watched it happen after I built some bunkers. Like I said though, I'm so afraid of losing in an RTS. I might keep it on normal just because of that. I don't know I'm so torn. Is it more rewarding on hard? OMG HELP!

edit: I think it'd be weird with firebats and medics when there are helions and dropships around. Just my Oh Pen Ee Own

I feel better when I win on hard. I think it's definitely more rewarding!

The escort mission was extremely easy for me, too. I didn't even build bunkers. That's the last mission I played.

Off to the next one.

I usually feel bad when I see achievements that I didn't do and there's always the hard ones staring at me like an asshole in the breeze. I know the moment I lose on hard it'll piss me off so much...

StarBob, don't turn into an achoe, I used to be one, it was horrible.

wait if people are finding this quite a breeze on normal would a total RTS tard like me be able to do this on easy?

PS: I found starcraft 1 hard as **** =/

AHA-Lambda, your question got me thinking on StarCraft lacking a difficulty-selector, apparently StarCraft had a scaling-AI which would become more aggressive the 'better' the player performed.

So perhaps you could have beaten it by playing as a pansy and letting the AI whoop your ass repeatedly?

I dunno.

Can I use that one?

We will have to discuss royalty fees if you wish to use Achoe™ for your own purposes.

But I'm sure we can reach an agreement.

Thoroughly enjoying the game so far. It oozes tender loving care. The menus alone are a joy to navigate. Also the interactive in between mission 'interface' is so well executed. Has anyone played the arcade game in the cantina yet? It is called 'The Lost Viking' :D I am also amazed at the huge amount of challenges and co-op stuff. You get a lot of bang for your buck. I can't wait for all the mods to come out. Talking of which, has the editor been changed much from the beta?

Possibly a nod to another Blizzard(Then named Silicon & Synapse) game, called The Lost Vikings?:D

Very likely. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the name. I was disappoint because I thought I was going to play the actual Lost Vikings game, but it turned out to be a space shmup. That turned out to be fun to play on its own though.
