Steve Irwin is dead

He's wrestling incorporeal Crocodiles now.

It's kind of crazy. I expected him to finally die either peacefully of natural causes, or at the jaws of an alligator/crocodile. Really sucks that he went down from a stingray.

It was on the news this morning. The woman just said "Steve Irwin is dead" and I thought it must be some kind of joke. And then it wasn't. :(

I literally spat out a mouth full of coffee this morning when I first saw it on the news.

I watched a lot of his shows and found very entertaining. Although I find it very sad to see him go as he was a truely awsome guy, I knew he would eventually bite the bullet with all the crazy stuff he did, he has had soooo many close calls it wasn't even funny anymore, i expected him to die doing one of his stunts eventually. You got it all the time in the war, soldiers would get so far into the war having so many close calls but not actually being killed or hit even, and then as soon as they mention it to his friends, the next thing they know he is killed.

R.I.P

You're joking, right? I always said that job would get him killed, but I never believed myself.

I heard this on the radio coming into work, I thought it was a joke too..... bloody hell.

He's thumbing animal butts in heaven now.

Blimey. He was a good presenter. Managed to make wildlife interesting.

R.I.P.

He could be in heaven now wresteling crocodiles...or he could be in animal heaven with all the crocodiles waiting for him.

I love the guy, im so depressed right now.

Can't believe it tbh! He was so young!

He did do some crazy shit now and again though, I always thought it'd be a Snake that'd get him, not a Sting Ray. Perhaps he just didn't respect the animals enough considering how dangerous they can be?

wow....this makes me really sad. I used to love to watch his shows.....
:(

"You live by the sword, you die by the sword"
The sadest part is his wife and child living without him.

This is shitty news to wake up to. His show was on ITV yesterday where he was teaching zoo keepers how to jump on crocs and rope their mouths shut.

He had 2 young kids too. This sucks.

If you look on the bright side atleast his son/daughter will have plenty of video footage of steve in action. Many fatherless children only have pictures or fragmented memories of there loved ones.

If you are reading this message Steve from Heaven explorer watch out for the prehistoric scary's. They are big and have a nasty bite!

GG! Godbless.

Well he ahs made himself a legend and i think we should remember that instead of mourning his loss, we should remember how a great a guy he was and what a influence he had made.

It should have been Bush that got stung not Steve Irwin:bonce:

He died what he loved doing best and will be greatly missed, I was so shocked when I saw this on the news.

Damn, this is really shocking. Must be terrible for his daughter.

R.I.P.

In the end every one dies...
"My live style determines my death style"...;(

This ****ing sucks. ;( I just caught it on the news on my way out this morning, awful stuff.

The worst thing is...is that if he was stung elsewhere he had a chance to live...:(

According to wikipedia, we should add turtle emoticons infront of our MSN display names in honour of Steve. (tu)

I concur. RIP stevo.

Did the turtle thing and pretty much everyone on my list has too.

I watched the interview with Steve Irwin by Andrew Denton on ABC, makes me sad to see Steve-o go. :(

It's a damn shame. He survived all those dangerous snakes and crocodiles to get killed by a Ray.

Steve Irwin was a top bloke.

I've watched Steve since i was very young, he's probably the one guy along side David Attenborough who has heightened my interest in wildlife. He had 2 really amazing children who had the same passion for wildlife and his wife Terry is a really nice person. I'm really gutted by this, he'd given so much and probably had even more to give the world. Such a huge loss...;(

I was just watching news clips and interviews on the telly and felt completely gutted... he was such a fair dinkum bloke with a huge pashion for what he belived in, it is a huge loss to the world and to those that knew him closely... there simply isnt, and wont be another like him.

I dont know why its affected me so but it has.

I say there should be a bullitin on the front page to honour he life. Who's with me?

Getting killed by a sting-ray, which is a passive creature, is ironic, especially considering he hasn't been downed by anything more deadly. I guess it was his time.

Yeah, its very surreal and disturbing. Such an iconic, whole hearted, all around good individule would go, when he still had so many good years left in him. This is very upsetting news, I didn't know the man personally, but the image he put out, him and his family seemingly invited me into their family every time I watched his show.

It really kind of stings, like a close friend passing. His wife and children will be able to take solace in knowing that millions worldwide share their grief, love, and loss of such a good guy.

Some one said it earlier, the world really is a lesser place with out him.

:(

I remember when he did that ESPN commercial.....made me laugh for hours.....
damn, Steve Irwin was such a great guy....

That's so sad :(

I didn't watch many of his shows, but they seemed great.

RIP Steve Irwin.

I watched his shows since i was 5 years old! It was a really happy time for me, and every time i saw it since i remembered that happy feeling.

Anyway he will be missed by many :(((((

RIP Steve

He was full of life and always so happy, i think he was one of the last ppl that should have died!

I'm with some of you guys here, I do actually feel a loss. It wierd because with any other celebrity that dies, i'm like "that sucks, but i guess it was their time to go". Steve had so much left in him though, he helped so many animals.

Again, RIP Steve.

It's even more ****ed up that the news got word of his death before his wife and kids. :|

He was a great man... I watched Crocodile Hunter every day when I was kid...

Same here. Really feel sad for his death, usually couldn't care less when it comes to (ex-)famous people.
