Homer!

Veggies, I hope that you're saving this all in an HTML file or Word or something so you can like give out a more compact comment-less version later. :D

The populace demands more isometric goodness.

How do you expect him to get more done with 6 guys stabbing him? :p

Very nice Veggie.

hah! this is soo funny. How much time does this take you? It would take me forever to do the same thing :q

Got an update for ya.

Pace is being picked up some. (How much is done each panel)

Looks like they're going to pour cement in the floor of the gas station, and in Main Street too, to officially finish the piping.

The surveyors again, too! Hmm.

it541hn.png

I wonder what that lone pipe is for...

Lots of progress on that gas station! Can't wait to see it up and running.

it552ww.png

More of that floor concrete filling up. Fairly decent sized building huh? Probably going to have some snacks and stuff in it like most gas stations. Not really much else happening huh? I wonder if the surveyors decided they didn't want to build something?

it564hp.png

Floor almost done... The cement part that is. Some wood has arrived!
What's up with that lone pipe. I'm looking at it from my car right now, and I have the urge to just go sit on it while I eat my fish taco.

it578xq.png

Ahh, the counter. And it looks like that little section will be the bathroom. That would explain the water pipes going there.

And they've begun to ready the parking lot for cement!

And what's this extra expansion? Complete with large opening? Perhaps the loading dock or something.

Btw, I went out to sit on the pipe but there was a spider on it.

Another doorway behind the counter. And a window, too! Odd place for one, but oh well.

I hope we see some more buildings plotted. Not that the gas station is boring, but I want to see this city grow as much as you do!

:D Thanks for being patient with me guys. (Those who were ;)) I try my best to set aside time to work on it, hopefully I'll work on it some more tomorrow.

Comments/Crits welcome, I repeat again!

Heh, annoying? I wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't fun :D

I'm very tempted to make this into a retro computer game, but there are too few hours in the day ;(

You must be pretty relaxed, i'd just want to get to the big buildings!

It'd end up a SimCity clone that looks nice but plays like shite :(

-Angry Lawyer

not if you culd only influence the happenings,

so like you get a set amount of choices, at the start of the game, along with like where the city is located, and then it plays its little life out as your desktop background/screensaver!!

A screensaver could work, to be honest. But again, time issues, and the fact I've never coded a screensaver before.

-Angry Lawyer

This is like the 3rd time I've been considered for a pixel artist for a game that never made it D:

Sourceworld 2000, a game ennui one day decided he wanted to make which didn't last for more than 2 hours, and now a sim city clone D:

Whatever, I'll always be ready. Just so few coders you know?
Hell I could learn to code myself, I've considered it before. I've been in all these dead projects, I should just make my own game :p

couldnt it just run, through the game in like one batch run, out utting a pic for every frame, and then tape them up as a gif and just set the gif ad your screensaver?

Well it'd be cool if it was multiplayer and every HL2.net member received a small space for building stuff (homes, stores, whatever) and you would be able to customise your avatar guy and have him walk around the neighbourhood :D

That'd work, but it involves some pretty indepth client/server architecture, and the furthest I've got to writing client/server stuff without having it already done is with WinSock, which is naff.

All hail!

But, it would make a neat .gif image, if you would format all the pics so that they were the same size.

And drives cars, and jack people from those cars. I could walk up beside Angry Lawyer's car, yank him out. Beat him to a pulp and get it. I'd be driving off and suddenly he launches a rocket at me...

Oh wait, thats GTA. :E

Would be fun though. heh heh.

Iso-town as a game eh?

Offtopic--
Would it be that hard to make a HL2 Online GTA 2 map?

Hmm, what do you mean? A map for HL2 that is like GTA 2, or a map for GTA 2 that is like HL2? And what do you mean by online? Lots of vehicles in Source doesn't work too well online.

There was a project made, a GTA2 mod. It was a massive map which everybody could connect to online, like a MMO...

Don't worry, the idea just poped in.
