To all who voted for Obama...

Let it be known, that we have you to thank for the next 4 years.

Every single thing that happens to this country until January 20th, 2013 will be because of you. Every person killed by terrorists across the globe, their blood is on your hands.

Every person who loses their livelyhood, their jobs, its all because of you.

When it all comes to an end, and the country (and possibly the rest of the planet) is in shambles, it shall be known that it was because you turned a blind eye toward the facts, refused to hear both sides of the stories, and elected a closet Communist to take the helm of the greatest nation the planet has ever seen.

There is no escape. You cannot hide. You may be able to protect the truth from those around you, but you will always know inside that you and your incompetence resulted in the greatest man-made disaster to ever happen to man kind.

Oh, and for good measure...IBTL

Your ****ing stupid btw.

Lol I watched south park from last night and now just saw this post. ahahahahaha :LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

Take a chill pill dude, everything will be okay. Do you need the suicide hotline number?

I voted for Obama to offset the imbalance of power in the Republican's favor. When the Democrats oust too many Republican members of the house and Senate (imbalance of power in the Democrats favor) then I'll then vote Republican again. Voting in America is like a balancing act really. Either way we could have a dictatorship ruled by either the Democrats or Republicans if we're not careful.

...and you the saying goes, "absolute power corrupts absolutely".

Usuall old republican scare tactics ;) It will be funny in the future when everyone looks back and it will be YOU who will look back and see yourself on the bad side of history, against the greatness that is about to come, and you will regret that you ignorantly stood against the change that made the world a little bit better.

I voted for Obama to offset the imbalance of power in the Republican's favor.

Power WAS even -Republican controlled Executive branch, Democrat legislature, just like when Clinton was president but reversed.

Now the democrats control both of those branches. That's less balanced. At the very least there are enough Republicans to filibuster radical legislation but to say it balances anything isn't correct.

Finally showing your true colors, eh? You two racist bigots should have been banned from these forums a long time ago.

Now can Obama live up to his Hype he is a good speaker now lets see if he can lead aswell as he can talk
Personaly i wanted Obama to win now he has won thats only the start of it

this is what aggrevates me the most. You ask a LOT of people here in the US on the streets why they support Obama and they'll say two things

A: Change
B: He speaks well.

I ask what exactly does change mean policy wise? They just say 'changing things from now' again. They don't know what policies they're really voting in. A lot will also say just because he's young. It's ridiculous.

I understand many of you actually support his policies but a LOT of people who voted for him don't even know what they are.

Your points are so idiotic I don't understand why anyone here wastes their time trying to argue with you. It's a little ironic for someone that comes on here and constantly spews right wing talking points to question the intellect of Obama's supporters.

I didn't even make any "points" there OR argue anybody, I just said it was aggravating when people vote without knowing what policies they're supporting.

It appears you didn't even read the post.

Also I don't see how I can be even labeled "right wing" anymore. I support a free economy and freedom on social issues. That's half and half if anything.

Ask some Obama supporters outside your social circle. Just your "average joe(lol)" on the street. You'll get the answer basically to change things, in some way or another of saying it. They won't know what policies he backs though. They just want 'change'

Obviously if you take an uninformed pro-Obama viewpoint and then judge it in isolation, in a vacuum it won't look very good. However if you do it the justice of matching up the average ignorant pro-Obama sentiment - 'I don't know what he represents but he has a nice voice, it's good to have a black person in power, and I want change' - against the average ignorant pro-McCain sentiment - 'I don't want a babykiller/communist/terrorist/muslim/black guy in power' - then it looks a whole lot less pernicious.

Your problem is that you devote a remarkable amount of energy on this forum to criticising the former sentiment, yet almost zero energy towards addressing the latter. In fact you occasionally do your part to propagate the latter idea by creating threads that imply Obama's a Marxist or that his supporters have been 'caught on tape' saying they can act like leeches once he comes to power. As such you become a sometimes implicit, sometimes explicit supporter of the fallacies drummed up by the 'right wing', which answers the second part of your post.

Here are some reasons I supported Obama:

Universal Health Care, refocusing our efforts from Iraq to battling Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Pro-Choice and Pro-Civil Unions.

That wasn't very hard. I didn't even have to use the word change once...

What you're citing is a general flaw of democracy, not any one particular candidate. The vast majority of people are ignorant and rely entirely on the current of their social circle to dictate their political views.

But if you supported McCain then it really isn't something you should bring up in an argument like this. Significant polling has shown that on average Obama supporters are better educated and more knowledgeable of current events.

Nevertheless you make a valid point - most people are ignorant - however you certainly can't use it as an argument against Obama.

First paragraph- I agree. I was directing my original post up there that got quoted by No Limit at Kase in particular because I've seen him in other threads just go on attacks without even arguing using facts or logic. Kase (to me based on his posts as of late) is one of the examples of people I was referring to.

Second paragraph- Source?

Third paragraph- I agree

The problem I have with you rakurai is that you have absolutely no intellectual curiosity on your part. You are so insanely blinded by your partisan right wing ideology you will not take a second to actually objectively think about anything that comes out of your mouth. You are spoon fed information from right wing sources and that information doesn't pass through any kind of filter in your head, instead it gets posted here right away.

I know you are not that stupid and if you took a few minutes to actually think about something from a objective perspective before you actually post it you wouldn't come off as such a idiot, I promise you.

While I think Tenjin has a point about people voting when not knowing the policy they are voting for, both sides are equally guilty.

And if we're going to argue about "stupid voters" then here is some logic.

Vote for some black dude spouting something about change.

or

Vote for some lady that isn't aware Africa is made up of several smaller countries.

I'd vote for the black dude.

You know there are more choices.

It's the attitude of "my vote wont count" which is what makes it exactly not count.

And I'm not just talking shit here- even I fell victim to this because I was scared Obama was going to win my state. I went for the 'lesser of two evils' approach. In essence by voting for McCain my vote DIDN'T count. I should've realized AZ would go for him and I could've pumped up the Libertarian's numbers in an effort to get them federal funding

If Chuck Baldwin or Dr. Paul had been on the ballot I would've been more at ease connecting the line to them, but only Barr was. I penned in McCain but if I could go back I'd pen in Barr. There's no 'going back' though and I can take pride in knowing my other candidates won (except Sheriff)

I'm not a right wing partisan. I believe in sound economic policies supporting free trade, and social liberation.

My threads attacking Obama were to dissuade voters from him. No one that posts here as they've obviously got their views in stone, but anyone who happens upon the forum. I understand the fact that McCain isn't a whole lot better, but the fact is he was a better representation of my views than Obama.

It's nothing to do with "right wing media sources" or other things, it's trying to be strategic by posting what will help me most. I choose my attacks to how they will best suit me. You don't see me posting much attacking Obama's social policies - mostly economic

This is the politics forum and this is about as voracious as it gets for me discussing politics. I'm not always spouting "LOL OBAMA THIS OBAMA THAT" in real life. I ****ing hate people like that (for or against him).

So you were just being intellectually dishonest to help elect McCain? I don't know how that's any better, if anything it's worse. I don't think I'll ever be able to take you seriously when it comes to politics.

 No. It was to help NOT elect Obama.

Hell I would've voted in Bill Clinton again rather than Obama as far as policy wise goes Clinton ended up being less liberal economically than what Obama states his plan is.

You can't take me seriously because you just don't agree with my fiscal policies. That's all there is to it. I have serious trouble taking socialists and other economic liberals seriously, but they have their place in world politics. Some countries want to be. America traditionally has not, and I am one of those citizens who wants a free market.

I have serious trouble taking socialists and other economic liberals seriously, but they have their place in world politics.

I have trouble taking anyone seriously when they equate socialism with Democrats and liberals. All this tells me is that they have no idea what they are talking about and have no idea what socialism is.

He's the most right-wing libertarian I've encountered in that case.

I didnt' equate them. I said socialists and other liberal economic policy makers. They DO fall under the same left wing 'class' if you will

Then why bring up socialism, why not just say liberal economic policy makers.

Yea since all the other wealthy western nations all have failed with universal health care...

Oh wait...

*As well in before usage of you're instead of your*

why the hate kyo?

What hate? I'm just stating fact (Well maybe not the Roman Empire part but I like Roman history so I'm biased). America has failed so horribly over the past two decades. That isn't to say you're the only nation to fail it but American's have a habit of saying they're the greatest nation on Earth and that ticks me off. Oh and get you're 13 year old kids off my Oceanic servers, Get you're own damn ZPS servers.
