Too Fat To Graduate

Honestly, I haven't met and been friends with one fat person in my life (I'm being 100% honest) that hasn't eventually lost weight, that leads me to believe fat is easier to lose then the media and people have you believe, hell I used to be fat and got made fun of and all that, so I started simply running and lost it all, now I'm all muscular and sexy, and I even eat more then I did. Most fat people I knew just lost it from their highschool gym class (I think everyone loses weight from those when they get into high school though.)

Vegeta is a fat f*ck.
How do you know Willeh?

Were you disappointed with Vegeta's figure after arranging a real life date online hoping for some booty secks in his mums basement whilst he wears cat ears and reads manga?

Liar, you admitted once to being fat in elementary school and everyone knows the 'kool kids' didn't hang out with the fatties. Plus your a gamer. Gaming was for dorks back then so your just like the rest of us. Fat and gaming with fat friends. Fortuanately, gaming has hit mainstream, and while many games are shitty now as a result, at least your kool now.

EDIT> Lying only makes you an even bigger dork. It's OK to admit to once being fat. Nowadays though, being fat is the new skinny, so present day fatties can rejoice.

Seriously?

What does that have to do with education?

I don't care how you feel about fat people, that's a retarded requirement.

It's a god damn school not a ****ing gym.

"What does that have to do with education?"

Everything. It educates you on how to look after yourself and how to become and stay healthy.

Everyone has it drilled into there heads that it's ok to be fat. It's not. It's like saying "Yeh i have cancer, but it's not that bad. I won't do anything about it because i can live with it"

Are they going to make people with a low BMI put on weight?

That's just silly. Being at a normal weight is healthy.

How am I a liar? I said I used to be fat. A combination of puberty + running daily made me skinny. I also find it kind of coincidence that I'm not a gamer anymore either ever since I got skinny, and games these days do suck.

And yes, I'm super kewl now. :afro:

Bullshit.
I would've agreed with xdrive if he'd had said what he said more eloquently. xdrive, just leave the BSing to the pros for now on as I have a BS (Bachelors) degree in forums politics.

I know a guy that's about 25 ~ 30cms shorter than me, and weighs like 30kg more. (about 150cm - 100kg)

He's a smart guy, and he's prolly gonna go to med school. He's classed as Class 4 Civilian Reservist in his conscription physical papers, so he's going to have to skip conscription. That has severe disadvantages for him (no pension adv, no extra points on his job applications, etc), and I'd be unhappy if I were him and I couldn't graduate and become whatever he worked so hard to do for his entire life. It should be in the form of something like a support group.

Sometimes, conscription does have its merits, it gets you in top physical condition for one.

What's bullshit? the fact that being overweight isn't healthy? am i completely wrong? I apologize then :rolling:

The fact that you're applying mindsets to fat people where they very well might not exist, simply because the people are fat.

You're saying that these people have grown to think that their being fat is 'okay'... without knowing a god damn thing about any of them. And you're also insinuating that they're somehow uneducated or undereducated about the implications of their own obesity.

That's just silly. Being at a normal weight is healthy.

Being too skinny can also be a bad thing though (I think thats the point he was trying to make), which could also be a result of malnutrition or lack of exercise.

**** yah BMI of 14.4

no I'm not sick nor am I suffering from the effects of malnutrition nor do I get a lack of exercise

We'll see. If you post in the gaming forums, you're still a liar. Hardware/Software forums is no exception either. In fact, your still posting on a gaming site anyways regardless. Coincidence?

:dork::dork::dork:DOORRRRRK!!!:dork::dork::dork:

If it's any consolation to you though, I know your at least telling the truth about being skinny now. I've seen several of your pictures in your profile. Then again, add some horn-rimmed glasses and a pocket protector, your still borderline dorky looking.

The bullshit comes from the fact that your BMI has nothing to do with your education. You can know everything about fitness and health issues and still have a high BMI. So what if they don't choose to follow that education? Lifestyle choice isnt something that should hold you back academically. Same way not believing in evolution shouldn't keep you from graduating.

MY vision is gone and I actually need glasses.. I tried on my dads the other day and my god are things ever CLEAR. Vision started going like 2 years ago, just never bothered to do anything about it. (it's that one where far things are blurry, close up it's fine)

POCKET PROTECTORS THOUGH - I don't even have any pockets other then on my jeans, so f those.

I'm almost tempted to go to the post yourself thread and post myself in grade 8 (fatty), and me now (sexy as ****)

As long as you post on HL2.net, you'll never be sexy, however you could be STUNNING like me one day as soon as I CAN GET OFF MY LAZY ASS and start doing crunches to get rid of these GODDAMNED LOVEHANDLES!!!!!!

I've got to do something about my hairy back too, or just make bitches accept the fact that I'm a hairy mutherf**ker.

Too flat to graduate

Women under C cup size must get implants

Whats wrong with good old A and B? :/

Well I'm certainly not going to miss the chance to make a funny joke just because it conflicts with my personal tastes.

Everyone, including the Lecturers and Professors should take the class, too. Every year, or not at all.

I guess making you work out or eat a little bit more isn't essentially a bad thing.

Though muscle is heavier than fat, what if you were just buff?

That's why it goes by BMI. For a time, I was considered overweight, but I had about 10% body fat. Now I'm in college, and I really am overweight. I haven't lost all that much muscle, but I started drinking pop on a regular basis and now I'm up to 210 lbs.

Good idea in my opinion, during my first year I packed on a lot of 'flabby' weight due to excessive boozing and going mental on the food shopping front. My second year I lived 10 minutes away from a leisure centre so I figured I didn't have an excuse and signed up to the gym there, whilst going swimming 2/3 times a week. Coupled with the fact I biked to uni every day I managed to lose about a stone in just over a month and a bit I think it was (roughly). People even commented that my arms looked bulkier when I came back for Christmas and I certainly felt a hell of lot perkier and active during the daytime.

Feels good man, especially when you adopt such a life style that is going to rape your body for a good 3/4 years.

I'm...torn.

Part of me thinks they have no right to force this upon first years, or hell, anyone.

But...then I cant help think that its a good thing. Obesity is a serious problem for teenagers and 'young adults' as I used to be called when I was around the 19-20 year-old mark.

'You can take a horse to water but you cant make it drink', so this idea theyre imposing/proposing is basically grabbing the horse by the head and shoving it in the river.

Which I can agree with. Sometimes we need to say '***k free will, ***k human rights, this is the right thing to do and we know it'.

Personally I lost almost 2 stone in my first year at Uni (somewhere around the 30 pounds mark for those of you across the pond), simply due to;

-Having no car so had to walk around town to get groceries, shopping, go to lectures, go to clubs etc. Everything was within a 15 minute walk so I didnt WANT my car. I'd be walking for about an hour almost every day just walking around town with mates etc etc.

-Clubbing. Not seals. Just going out 2-3 times a week to clubs and getting my MJ on with zee ladies was a small workout every time. Yeah we drank as well, but it wasnt always beer, and you burned off everything you consumed that same night.

-Sex. Err...yeah its a workout.

I pretty much put it all back on now, ironically, that Ive graduated and you do less clubbing etc in your last year, and I look back at the pics of me toward the end of my first year at Uni and cant believe how much thinner I was.

So I dont know, like I said Im torn.

Society will say no, but we're all thinking its a good idea in SOME way surely?

So fat people go to college and are made to exercise and sports scholarship recipients go to college and are made to learn. Seems fair to me.

Except, you know... one of them is about what someone is supposed to do at school, and the other one isn't a scholarly thing at all.

I'm talking of course, about the exercise. Everybody knows that colleges are just super expensive gyms.

Aren't they breaking some kind of discrimination law through this?

Aren't they breaking some kind of discrimination law through this?

If they were waitresses.

They're actually hired as "models who serve" so that they can monitor their appearance.

It's a cruel, cruel practice.

Besides, they'll be glad the school made them lose few pounds because they'll gain vanity points and love life that much more. Furthermore, everyone was made to take P.E. courses in elementary and junior high, why not college?

Because everyone had gym class, not just the fatties. Either make everyone take it, no one, or make it optional. Anything else is discrimination.
