This game really is amazing!

This is fun as hell, but I screwed up my defenses and now I think I'm pretty much screwed. Got to level 20 at the easiest difficulty.

This worked really well untill I got screwed over by flying (right on the screenie). I got up to 36.
 
I fail

I didn't even know you could upgrade the towers. I still almost beat Easy Mode without any upgrades.
 
Oh you're supposed to make a tunnel. Didn't come to think of that. I just randomly threw my cannons everywhere around the battlefield.
 
I was level 40 on normal...was going to win, no problem...before I hit reset instead of pause.

the slowing towers are better than I though
 
I winzored on easy! But I couldn't get the final boss ffs, he was really tough even against about 5 upgraded fast cannons, 3 snipers, about 4 slowers and a missle plant. All of them fully upgraded too :(
 
yeah, I didn't get him either, he was about 20k hp when he got through


normal is hard for me :(

can't get much past lvl 22
 
Medium really isn't hard once you get the layout done. Just gotta get those freeze towers int he right spots, and it's easy peasey.

I want cheats for it just so I can build the "perfect" defense and then send everything at once.

Snipers do 400 damage right?

Having all those be the rapid fires at full upgrade would be exponentially better.
 
Yes, but squirts upgrading fully are 2x's as expensive. so you can't have as many!

But yeah, they are better :p

And you can do it on normal, too, btw. With just 1 freezer :p
 
Idea that might work:

Have 2 paths to the exit that are as complex as space permits.
Have one path blocked at the very end.
The creatures will go through the open path.
Right before they reach the end, sell the blocker of the second path and block the path the creatures are already on. They will go back all the way out of the first path, and all the way through the second path. Repeat as necessary.

Does it work? Someone try.
 
Ok this is working ridiculously well.

I wonder if I can devise something for medium along the same lines.

Sent like the last 6 waves at once, no lives lost, tons of gold, only like 2 water spitter things and an AA, the rest a maze of regular cannons, most unupgraded.

Final score 5542 on easy.

I'm a bloody genius! This is going fantastic on medium. I've got a nice setup going here with just regular towers and anti air, with my lock system.

Edit 2: Damnit! I slipped up and missed my cue.

Edit 3: Last batch of guys are just running around, I've got this in the bag. The last group of flyers was tough though. Brought me down some lives.

Mine is incredibly perfect. Only thing I'd change next time is some more anti air, those are the only buggers that got past, at the very end.

Beat it, 6 lives left, score of 5130.

There's the lock system, sans some redundant things I sold in the upper left at the end when there were just 2 bosses floating around.

Another good thing about this is the hot spot that is created, all your powerful shit can be put in one area, which is near the airways too.

I've gotten better scores before.... (around 4500), but anyway here's a coupe strategies that maybe people can build on....

This defense system worked well, creating a very long path, with heavy-hitters near the middle.
Weakness: not enough power in middle

I adopted V's strategy. The block you sell/remove is in the bottom right corner.
Weaknesses: I didn't upgrade the middle enough
Weaknesses: I channel both entrances into one path. This causes both masses to be nearly directly on-top of each-other. Rather than them being spread out, so all my towers are working at once, the mobs are in tight packs....which means towers have to concentrate on more targets per area. This could be good with a lot of Dart Towers though.
Problem: I didn't fully utilize my system.

I tried the lock system when I first started playing, but I found it..cheesy to me..I just need to master my path down. I was able to get to the very last level, so if I tweaked it up a bit, I should be fine.

I don't get much AA, since everything already hits them, and they really don't have that much life...they just drop out of the sky for me.
 
The primary benefit of AA (for me) is to have a few towers dedicated to ensuring Flying ones are being hit (in case other towers are distracted).
 
The last flying bosses and the last swarm of flyers are damn tough.
