so the other day me and my flatmate were trying to solve her problem. her problem is that every time she tries to have sex (or does, she's not a virgin), it's incredibly painful. neither of us are really in relationships so we thought we'd muck about in a casual way. the trouble is, as soon as we start we have to stop because it's just so painful for her. we've tried using lubricant etc, but no joy. don't get me wrong, this isn't me being frustrated and i have no problem stopping, but I've only ever slept with one virgin and it didn't hurt her at all.

personally i think the problem is that she doesn't masturbate, she only did it for the first time the other day, i think if she did she might be more used to it etc. (the girl it didn't hurt had been 'satisfying herself' since the age of 4)

my question is this: to all of you who are more experienced on the matter of first time sex, or sex that is painful at first for the girl, could you give me some advise? i know a lot of you are really nice guys in very happy relationships and who probably have been with each other through it all so to speak. can you help? none of my female friends have the same problem, or if they do, it's nowhere near as extreme.
 
Sex is supposed to hurt the first (couple of) time(s). She just has to keep on practising and it'll get better. Your suggestion that she should masturbate is cute, but very wrong.
 
maybe you're right, but i really don't feel comfortable having sex with her if it gets so painful she starts crying. maybe going to see the doctor is a good idea, but imo he'll just tell her to do what you guys say. i was vaguely thinking of getting her to take poppers for a while and then coming off them. also i mean masturbating with a dildo or something, it's not that i can't be slow or gentle, but she might be less nervous on her own.

Can't stress this enough. When a person has serious medical problems see a doctor! Don't ask friends, don't experiment with remedies, don't guess. See a doctor!

I mean, would you actually take medical advice you got off a video game forum and apply it to yourself or your friends? I seriously hope not.

If its a major problem the gynacolagist is the best bet, some women can be uncomfortable from being quite small.
It's especially a problem if they are with me.

cherry's still in the flat in london, but i'm at uni now studying film in bournemouth. and yeah i was a bit shocked at the 4 thing, but hey, whatever..

well self-diagnosis by a layman is pretty ridiculously unreliable so i'd actually get her to a doctor to find out what's going on down there
