Not got any lag at all..

I've tried every class/race, Im for certain going to go night elf warrior. They just look so kick ass when useing 2handed swords. My first alt.. human or orc mage. One on a pvp server and one on an RP server.

Night Elves rule. Darnassus is one of the coolest cities in the game. Easily

edit: Bad hat, Wow is awesome, buy it and come play with me when it comes out.

Sold! :D

Probably gonna get to play it tonight, so we shall seeeee

I just reached 37 with my Human Warrior...I would be 40 by now but I started an alt with my friend who just got it. The goal is 40 for my mount.

Anyways, World of Warcraft is easily the best game I've ever played, and everyone should buy it, now.

Damnit, just came in to the local net caf but they won't let me play it. Stupid Blizzard with their stupid no free trials. Well, I'm gonna get it anyway so they'll stop telling me how great it is and how the Shamans are overpowered and the Night Elves are soooooooooooo cute well I'LL SHOW THEM.

Really people, to me Wow just seems very repetitive, and boring. I expected way more, he quests and the questsystem is just wrong, quests are boring, kill this animal to get that, and again, and again, and again. The questsystem is wrong cause it odesn't show you properly where to go for that quest, I mean I spend so long finding some damn beasts, for their fangs, I think it was the saberfangs. the guy gave me a quest and i had to go loook for half an hour only to find that the saberfangs are on the other side of the town. The quests are very boring and require you to go back an forth a lot of times between places, when do you finally get tto travel faster. when can I turn myself in to a cat. GW was much better, I mean it was linear, but atleast fun fron the very beginning, wow may not be linear, by the map sucks, and you travel a lot unnececairly. I mean you all love it so there must be soemthing wrong with they way I play, so tell what is so fun about this game, or from which level does it becoem fun. Don't get me wrong this game is technically en artistically beautifull, and very polished, but very boring, especially the quest, they take a very long time unnecesairly. In gw they very very intersting, I remmebr in one mission you had to for examply use trenushet and could lure mosnter and fire on them, here it just kill this get that, look for an hour for thing that could normally take you only 5 min.

I'm actually liking WoW more than I thought.

The first few quests are rather dull - more training exercises. Since i've been travelling about on airships and exploring the world i'm starting to get into it. Playing with on comms with a few close friends also helps a great deal - WoW seems to be a game that's best shared.

Try sticking with it Grey, maybe team up with some people. I'm sure you'll enjoy it the more you gain abilities and get to explore the world.

It's also worth putting some effort into immersing yourself. One mission I had was to collect 8 snouts and 12 hunks of meat, or something like that, for a meal. It was rather boring killing animal after animal and counting down the amount I had. Rather than thinking of it as a basic 'collect x amount of item y' mission I tried getting into the reason the mission was given out in the first place - which was to feed the tribe. Suddenly I was a hunter out on the prowl, on the search for food to feed my friends/family. Much more fun :)

WoW seems to be as fun as you let it be.

My bible.

I've only got two days left on my account before my free month runs out :( I'm almost lvl 28 too. I'm gonna go get a gamecard tonight hopefully

The Night Elf capital is, quite frankly, amazing. Loads of fantastic pets running around as well, ranging from tiny to bloody tree-sized. Can't wait until I train to get a pet. :D

I'm at an annoying point where i'm lvl 10 and all the missions in the area, and in other parts are that little bit too tough for me to handle. Plus with the low amount of XP per kill it's starting to become a grind until i'm strong enough to deal with lvl 14 harvester robot thingers.

I like how mana replenishes pretty fast, so you can heal people if they're in trouble, and they can heal you and be on their way. Most of the people around seem friendly.

I saw Stormwind for the first time at lvl 8 and it was pretty awesome. It was bigger than I thought it would be.

In size, yes, but I prefere Stormwind in just about every way.

Ironforge is my favorite city, it just feels so "epic", my favorite Horde city however is Thunderbluff (tauren capital) it is just so serine and beutiful, I cant get enough of it.

but ironforge has the auction house! THE AUCTION HOUSE!!!

All the lands are indeed incredible looking.

Be great if Blizzard allowed people to play alone on their computers without needing to go online. Sure it might be a little dull without real people but theres enough AI characters to keep it interesting. Add in a few AI questing bots and it would make an excellent single player game.

Shadow, half the fun of WoW is pvp, thats why it makes a better mmorpg then single player game.

Only game that I play on a pvp server is wow, as thats what its made for.

So, if its PVP wont you get raped by some high level d00d when out doing a quest or something ?

You can do PVP on the non-pvp servers anyway. Just challenge someone to a Duel, pretty fun, and you can't die.

WoW is a good, probably the best MMORPG out there, but it's definitely not "The best game ever".

yea, but VERY soon they're introducing the new PVP system whoch means if you kills omeone who is a lot of levels below you, you get "unhonourable kill" points... which are bad not just for you (higher NPC prices etc.) but to your WHOLE team (alliance, horde etc).

I've just learned Mining and Blacksmithing as my 2 professions. It's really easy to mine stuff then smith it into an item too, way faster than other MMOG's. I've also done some fishing, which is boring but pretty cool. I like how your stats level on their own by you using the specific skill, rather than making you choose where all the points go.

Anyone have a spare account? I missed the sign-up, im DYING to play it.

The WOW graphics engine is the best I've ever seen, ok its not hyper realistic but thats half the charm, the most impressive thing is that there are no loading times at all!!
Valve, Crytek you should be ashamed! :D Apart from the 10 second initial load, every other massive area is seamlessly loaded on the fly Its just incredible!

Well, thats another 12 hours of WOW racked up today! What a sad git I am :D

Correction, night elves are hippies, and no one goes to Darnassus because it's waaaay outa the way and there's no auction house. It's there for hippy newbies and a few higher level quests.

I kinda wish I could start an alternate character with you guys... oh well... level 54 and going strong! :p Props to all the new warlocks...

You could if you REALLY loved us :(

I doubt your playing the EU beta though.. and I doubt you'll be playing the EU retail either... x.x

I just got broadband connected and Mum's bringing home WoW tonight. Today is a good day :)

was playing wow just before, i played as a warrior night-elf....it was so boring, so i switched to a shaman as one of the bull people, which was much more enjoyable

I'm assumeing you're European, but today there is a new patch which changes that here in North America. I believe they're taking that option out.

ps: There's no reason NOT to play PvP...seriously, if anyone here plays on a PvE realm they'll regret it when they get to a high level, believe me. Switch while you still can.

I'm at the heart of the ganking process in WoW. I'm in Stranglethorn Vale, level 37 (soon to be 38) Warrior. I get owned by horde on a regular basis, but it kind of works as motivation. You just say "I am so coming back here when I'm level 60 and ganking these retards into next week."

I do have honor though. The last two days I have been in area where there's pretty much nothing but level 28-30 horde (me being 37 warrior) but I leave them alone usually...I do toy with them a lot, ie: run up to them, wait a bit, then wave at them.

Funny story; I was in that area and I was just minding my own business and then two shamans were ganking me but I turned on retaliation (great attack...just...great) and owned the hell out of both them.

Another time a level 32 rouge started attacking me when I had half health and I was attacking two other NPC enemies, but again, I turned on retaliation, used a potion, and owned the hell out of him. It was satisfying.

Maybe i'll go PVP in retail. You can't transfer your beta char over, right? I suppose dying isn't such a big deal anyhow.

Also, i'm pretty sure I found a bug with one of the quests, but the forums are down and I can't report it. Someone asks me to deliver something to someone in Stormwind, but the person doesn't have a "?" above his head or anything, he just wants to sell me stuff, very annoying.

EDIT: n/m

Hey but why can't you go with your character from realm to realm, why must you have in every realm a different character, doesn't that just suck, isn't it better like GW that you have one big server with different districst, cause this way ebcasue of lack of will to have to go trhough the same shit of leveling up on every server, you are potentionally going to miss a lot of stuff.

Anyone know how to find out how many people are on each server?

I know you can press the social button and look at whos online but it only ever shows 49 people at any one time. It definately doesnt list everyone though as I've see plenty of people running about who are not on that list?!?

There's no sure way to tell. There are some 'census' utilities that'll do various /who searches (like all warriors in The Hinterlands, then all paladins, etc.) and record all of who's on at that instant, but who knows how reliable they really are...

I'm just up to the stage now where i'm almost lvl 29, so i can roam pretty much anywhere with average resistance from the Horde (mostly lvl 27's and below) Its fun.

I was walking past Splintertree Post and i saw a 28 Tauren Druid trying to kill an Ashenvale Outrunner (lvl 24) so i just walked up and started kicking his ass with my raptor and my polearm, killed him in about 3-5 seconds. It was awesome. It had morphed into some kind of tiger thing.

1. Guild wars isn't very popular so they only need one server- this also keeps the cost down which is why there is no monthly fee. WOW is popular however, and if they had one big server there would be over a million people on one server- probally about 100,000 at any one time- and everyone would get so pissed off they would leave.

2. If you could transfer characters from server to server, you would be able to suddenly change your whole surroundings. Not only would this mean you would know NO-ONE In this new server, but you would be able to "smuggle" in new items. Not only this but blizzard would have NO control over players... suddenly everyone could just "change" server, meaning the servers are unbalanced and it could even crash the server. so BIIIG no there.

3. stop whining about world of warcraft. I've heard you say it was crap and nothing in comparison to guild wars... so why don't you just stop playing it? problem solved. Oh and... learn to edit your posts.
