Would you vote for the Respect party, if you had the chance?
If not, why not? Do you prefer them over the other three main parties?

I would, I agree with them about pretty much everything, what about you?

Not really. It would be pretty hard to cheat the system if it was quite authoritarian in some respects. I belive in it, I am human. Thus...

No, I'd have to say I wouldnt vote for Respect.

Why? Well for a start they're against hunting with dogs. Which, IMO makes them FTL.

Also, I cant seem to find their policy on private ownership of firearms, but judging by the rest of thier policies they're probubly trying to ban that, too.

Probably.
I'm against dog hunting. Not becuase I think its immoral. But becuase it's a good blow for the class war.

to me its seems to anti-capitalist and breed lazy citizens dependent on welfare. looks like it wants to abolish business and leave it to a giant inefficient government who will greatly tax everyone to support its welfare. claims the right is racist but wants displace the jews from their homeland and denies its racist. and how would it get rid of the jews from israel?

Respect is just a protest party, and Galloway discredits anti-war sentiment with his stupid antics and foam-at-the-mouth manner - which is exactly why the msm wheels him on to provide 'balance', instead of someone more formidable like chomsky

They seem too idealistic, I wouldn't trust them in power on the off-chance that their ideas might be feasible

I think they should be banned by law, and have the police raid their headquarters. But thats just my opinion.

These people arn't the resistance. Respect are talking about the people who shoot and ambush troops, blow up army bases ect.

They're not fighting against the government (at least not the ones viewed as 'the national liberation movement'. They're fighting against oppressors who do things like what they did in fallujah.

Or the thousands the military killed with bombs and such in the invasion. The state of Iraq with its deathsquads. The occupation who capture people including children, torture them and such. They're fighting againt an occuppying force who are raping Iraq. The resistors are fighting for the liberation of Iraq, and they have my support in that.

Tounge-in-cheek .... well kinda. Still, I hate the country side alliance and the upper class snobs hunting, so I'm happy to ban their sports.
 
Respect is a party with one aim: To keep George Galloway as leader of his constituency.
He tailors his policies to Bethnal Green and Bow and then adds some vaguely socialist grrr-I'm-so-angry-at-The-Man rhetoric simply because he can get away with it.
He's a shameless self-promoter and whilst it was good to see his rant against the Senate (and it really was) it was even better to watch him making an utter tit of himself on national television.
