well according to some other posts in this thread, this is a quick teaser video(like last year... or something) and then it was the next day that they showed the big demo. ... or something like that... god i'm tired.G0rgon said:Very nice vid.
valve going to show at the E3 Just 1 min ?
Now you think I am quickbeam too? I havn't even logged out of my account.
I'm not causing trouble, I'm just sort of amused at this whole charade. I mean, what's the point? Why would any normal innocent human being even bother to argue with me over this for so long, so obsessively, so defensively?
people don't start a flame war that will result in closing this thread.

Last I'll say on the subject publically.
X-Vector said:Indeed.
As for HL2.net hosting it, I don't think that's possible as right now IGN only offers the high-res version to paying customers.
there's other hdr... check out the scene right after the train station inside the big building. you can see light streaming in through the windows. ...no i don't have the hires version.Apos said:You mean the really bright light in the hallway with the combine?
but it is very similar in effect to what was seen in the hdr video.Apos said:I don't think that's HDR per se: light "beams: aren't necessarily HDR.
G0rgon said:Mean we must wait another few days till it become "free for all"
well okay then. okay what i mean is that the trailer has the same effects in several areas that the hdr video has.Apos said:Yes but not everything in that video is HDR: HDR is just one of the most stunning effects in it. HDR is apparent when you look out from your dark area into the bright outdoors, and the glow out there is overbrighted, almost bleeding out of the hole you are looking through. The light "rays" could well just be very near transparent and intangible brushes. And HDR can certainly enchance specularity if bright enough. But regular specularity is not HDR: or else Far Cry could claim to feature HDR lighting.
