If a game like Halo/Halo 2 can get a Mature rating just because of lots of neon alien blood, then Half Life 2 will definitly get the same rating for dismembering human bodies, red blood, and realistic-sounding burning human screams (Or to put it simply- Ravenholm)! :)
I totally agree. One of the main reasons I try demos is either because I don't have the money to buy the game at the moment, or I want to know how the game will run (or if it will run) on my computer.
If people had an opportunity to try out a small portion of the game (seeing as "try before...
Part of it is on the internet, as in the files that have been completed (textures and audio). The whole game, however is not, moron. How many times do you ignorant little kids need to be reminded?
The Halo series is sticking with the maximum of two-weapon carrying capacity (aka. REALISM), for which I am greatful. The only other game I can remember that explained the player's ability to store huge ammounts of weaponry was Star Trek: Elite Force, with their "teleporter buffers". :P
When you think about it, the requirements are that high considering how good the game looks. Eventually, everyone who wants to play the latest games will have to upgrade their computers. The only things you can do is either take advantage of good prices or drop the hobby...
I can't say I'll feel any different about playing as a more veterened Gordan Freeman than I did in the original Half Life, other than the fact that the action appears to unfold with fellow "resistance fighters" at your side (Like in the street skirmish/strider videos).
*sigh* No they did not. Here, I'll make it easier for you to comprehend....
THE ESTIMATE OF 6 WEEKS WAS NEVER MADE BY VALVE. It was an estimate made by Chris_D of HalfLife2.net, so please, read things before you go on rambling about things that have already been mentioned.
As for the...

The files in the present preload are (I believe) texture and audio files. When Half Life 2 is officially released to the public in the year 3004, you'll be able to preload the remaining files (Such as maps, etc) onto your computer. Then, once you have purchased the game through Steam, you will...
Quite frankly, I know a lot of people would be happy, rather than pissed, if the game came out in September (even on the 31st). If you love GTA: SA so much why don't you just go and pester some other board?
I believe Far Cry was 5 cds, but I bought the dvd version, so I may have been wrong. The general underlying point is that developers need to start putting games out on DVD, otherwise we'll be getting games that require +5 disks to install.
Far Cry was 6 or something, so I wouldn't be surprised if Half Life 2 is four or more disks...
Hopefully developers will take a hint and start producing games on DVD's rather than cds.
Hehe Chris did you get that avatar from this movie?

I think it should become mandatory viewing material for all board members everywhere. :)
Nobody has based these theories off of the Gold-hoax post made by Gabe earlier this week. Maybe if you could make a change from being so ignorant and actually read a thread before you comment in it, you would know this. But seeing as you're too lazy to do it yourself...
