There is a way to lock down your .bsp so that it cannot be VMEXed. Google it and you should find something.
I believe your question is already answered. If you have been trying to add your custom content in bulk it might not work, instead, add each file individually. Other than that I am of no help..

Here is a very helpful hint, use the advanced search feature of these forums and search for skybox tutorials.

func_detail objects cannot seal your map. Any func_detail object you have that is trying to seal your map must be "brought to world".
If you happen to have leak problems not due to func_detail brushes then my solution...
