Exit out of the game, go to the Play Games section of Steam, right click on Condition Zero (or any other game you wanna check the status on) and select properties. You could also right click the system tray icon and select monitor but at times it isn't as sensitive as the play games properties.

Thats strange...I have CZ 1.2 and by creating a Custom Game/New Game/Etc in offline mode it retains everything....that is..with Steam in offline mode...the CD install of CZ cant be updated...people have tried to crack it so the updates go to the CD version but with no luck whatsoever.. So...

It'll probably be like how Steam handles the users that can download and play Deleted Scenes. DS doesnt even appear under the "Available games" list...it only ever shows up on Steam if a legit CZ CD key has been tied into it. Probably gonna be like that with CS:Source I reckon.
