Each class has a different taunt for each weapon they carry and the default taunt button is 'G'. For example, the medic snaps his glove as a taunt (as in the trailer) when using the healing gun, and the pyro plays the guitar with his fire axe.
As I suggested before HL2 was released, the game would have more of a challenge competing with CS than Doom 3 among the FPS games :bounce:
TF2 will probably stay there, although I'd hope it at least gains more popularity than CS-CZ.
The menu format is the same as other Source games, with a few extra options ('Achievements', for example).
I agree with Naudian that sounds are as important as visuals, if not more so. In the case of the medic sound effects however I'm glad they kept the old Half-Life sounds. It sounds good...
I chose "All right" for now. The classes and maps are OK, but the respawn timer is terrible. You die too quickly to warrant 15-20 seconds in respawn and spectating that way is very boring. It'd be a lot better if you respawned instantly and could start fighting again.
I agree with alehm. Rather than a standard, tired rehash of a previous fortress game which is interesting for all of five minutes, Fortress Forever is at least its own game, as far as a fortress mod can be. The developers seem to have a fair bit of the old noodle about them and surely knew...
I didn't mind students when I was one, and I don't mind them now, although my patience was beginning to wear thin with anti-globalisation, anti-capitalism etc. types walking around the place with their Starbucks and such, drinking what they were presumably opposed to. The only time I had one of...
Not entirely surprising, considering the attitudes of a lot of people I've come across and their attitude to children, "I have my illustrious career to worry about."
Not quite, there are two messages you hear as Freeman, one as Shephard. You hear "Forget about Freeman" when you're in the underground tunnel; the message to Cooper is later when you use the map to call in bombardments to clear a path and kill the gargantua.
Yep, there's a level called "Forget about Freeman!" just after Surface Tension. Supposedly that's why "Follow Freeman!" is in HL2.
"Forget about Freeman! We are cutting our losses and pulling out! Anyone left down there now is on his own. Repeat, if you weren't already, you are now!"...
I agree with the part about Alyx's story on crawling through vents in Black Mesa, which seemed tacked on and meant little. I thought the same when told in HL2 about Breen being the Black Mesa administrator, as it seemed a little forced. If I was Gordon, I'd have recognised Breen instantly in the...
