Legs look ok to me, will be easier to judge though once boots are put on. I think just bending the fingers down into a relaxed position like you said should make it appear like there are knuckles anyway, though the bump mapping should finish that off. Hands seem fine too I think.
Looks great. Only thing I can see that might be a bit off is the elbow pads. If you hold your arms out like that your elbows point more backwards than downwards. Other than that its great and I saved the pictures to my computer as a kind of reference for poly size and placement for when I build...
Cheers. Sorry I forgot to say hehe, I'm using Maya. All I really know about UV mapping is that it is used in texturing the model (well I think that is it anyway hehe). In the tutorial I have he was sort of unwrapping bits of the model and moving points around, but I didn't really understand what...
I made this model yesterday and I'm trying to do the UV mapping stuff for it. I've never done UV mapping before and the tutorial I am following seems to be a bit too complicated for me. Anyone know any relatively simple UV mapping tutorials about that might help me, or at least help me...
Two of my housemates are doing 3D Animation, well I think that is what he said the course title is, I'll check when they get back over the weekend. I'm doing a forensics degree here though hehe, just taking up the modelling as a hobby :) .
NP. This uni seems to do a lot of computer courses (like about half the people I meet are doing some sort of computing course hehe). I think it also does quite a bit of virtual reality stuff, there are courses on that too.
Hokai I know the University of Teeside in Middlesbrough does, couple of my housemates are doing it hehe. Check it out there are a couple of courses. Check http://www.tees.ac.uk/prospectus/ft2004/ft2004_fos.cfm?fos=128 to see some.
I had a go at the method used to create the body in the Joan of Arc Tutorial. I use maya though, so things were a bit different. Is there a way to do the NURMS smoothing in Maya? I added in the edges along the front, back and sides of the leg and when I smoothed it, the leg still had quite a...
Looks great. How do you go about modelling the inside of the car? I'm new to modelling and have made most of a helicopter, was working on the cockpit but not too sure the best way to do it. It's been a bit awkward trying to see what I'm doing.
