    Most points/kills

My best round was as an Engineer: 36 points / 27 kills (13 with the sentry and 14 with the wrench! :P) http://steamcommunity.com/id/FatboyTim/

    Favourite TF2 Map Poll

I'd like Dustbowl a lot more if certain chokepoints weren't quite so easily defendable. I voted for Hydro.

    Valve to Evaluate Episodic Approach

My point being that if there were no episode releases, Lost Coast would probably have been Valve's most recent content release! The development of the episodes has allowed them to roll out new technology updates (to the benefit of the mod community) and bundle extra content (TF2...

    Valve to Evaluate Episodic Approach

Imagine for a minute if Valve had decided not to do these 'episodic' releases. Say they had instead taken the storyline they had for Ep1, 2 & 3 and put it into one monothilic game and called it Half-Life 3. At this point they would still only be 2/3 of the way through the developement cycle...

The "Are you getting Crashes?" Poll

Naturally. However, since I've got all the latest XP/DirectX/driver updates and it is such a well-known problem, it's far more likely to be a problem with their software. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=500297 Note: It never crashes on HL2, CS:S. It always crashes...

The "Are you getting Crashes?" Poll

Same here. I have a DirectX 9.0c card (SM3) but I get the looping sound crash within a few minutes, if I try to play above 8.1 in either TF2 or Ep1.

    Team Fortress 2 Update Released

TF2 is a work of genius IMO.

    Team Fortress 2 Update Released

Great to see some updates. I really hope they fix the awful 'looping-sound-crash bug' in TF2 and Episode One, next. I have a perfectly capable DirectX 9.0c card and I am fed up of having to play with "-dxlevel 81" in order to avoid crashing. :x

Steam News Update - Friday, September 14 2007

Have you tried deleting the local game content and starting it again? :bounce:

Left 4 Dead at QuakeCon 2007

They aren't enemies at all. In fact, Valve released Deathmatch Classic a few years back, as a tribute to the work of id software.

As a big fan of AQ2/AHL and TS, I'm looking forward to this one. :) Looking good so far.

    Episode 1 freezes up

I have the exact same problem, and so do many many others: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=500297 ;(

    Fortress Forever Update

As a TFC vet, I was looking forward to playing this mod. Having seen that video though, I can see well why Valve have chosen ro avoid b/hopping and concs in TF2. The level of air acceleration demostrated here is frankly retarded and I'll be staying well clear, if this is how it is going to end...

Is Kliner a dirty old man?

Groovy - why not take the carriage returns out of your sig to make it spread out more?

    Brainstorm for deathmatch ideas

Some great ideas. I love the bugbait one. The zombie one is also interesting, especially if the 'zombies' are those scary-fast ones!

Where Do We Go From Here?

On the contrary, while there were some great mods for HL1, I think Source is capable of so much more! If there is one thig that this official (albeit limited) DM mod shows, it is that mod teams can look beyond the tradtionally accepted limits of FPS mods of yesterday. The only limiting factor...
