A while ago I got a 25 pack of Memorex DVD+RW's, I have a NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A, and Nero could burn DVD+R's, and any CD just fine. However, it for some reason has a problem with these DVD+RW's, it gives me errors such as saying that a blank disc needs to be erased, and if I use Nero's disc...
Well I don't really play CS but I have HL2DM and I've started playing it online and I like it. I never really used Steam much playing games online so I never bothered looking at the Friends thing. So I just started trying to use it and it wouldn't work. Now I know, thanks. And I've heard Xfire...
Whenever I try to sign in to the Friends network or whatever on Steam it never works, always says couldn't connect. I've opened the ports on my firewall that it needed and it still didn't work does anybody know why?
If they were only intented for newer cards, I doubt they would bother optimizing for cards with 128mb memory, and definitely not for cards with 64mb memory. I'll get them later, not now.
That A64 will help a ton when you get it, but yeah you'll see a big improvement over a 9600se to a 9800 pro. Although you won't get the full improvement until you upgrade the cpu.
Well the PCI-E mobo would be a good choice for the future, but you would need to buy a new PCI-E card as well before you could use it. In which case you would maybe be better off just getting the fastest AGP card as it will last you a while...
Hmm it shouldn't be running that badly, you have a good processor and decent ram. The videocard is a 9600 which is fine although the 64mb of memory on the card could be hurting you, that's very low.
Yeah I don't know if it's because of my cpu but my 9800 pro really can only do 1024x768 high settings, reflect world for water, and no AA or AF to be a smooth 60fps (usually dips lower anyway) and those are the settings HL2 detects that I should run. I can do AA and AF on at 4x and 8x...
No the 6600GT is a good card and the best choice for him as he doesn't want to break the bank. It will beat any ATi card in the sub $200 range, and it will run HL2 at max settings.
What exactly does that mean? We all know that P4's tend to perform better in apps than Athlon's. Maybe I'm way off because I don't know exactly what they're saying right there.
6200 or 6600GT? Is there a GT version for the 6200? Because even the 6800 cards take a big hit running HDR, a 6200 would have a lot of trouble I'd imagine.
Oh it is the AGP version, ok then. Yeah it's that easy, take the old one out pop the new one in and install drivers. Since you're switching from Nvidia to ATi, download DriverCleaner3 (google for it) to fully remove all traces of Nvidia drivers before installing the ATi one's.
How about this:

Video playback is a good feature that beats the Ipod Photo or any others in the same category imo. I might actually get one, anybody have it?
