It would be great to have a crowbar as the default resistance melee weapon, while the combine got the stun baton. They could easily be identical in function but simply look/sound different for each team...
Imagine how bad it would have been without Steam... Remember the days of waiting in line for 6 hours to download a patch, then having to wait again for another 6 hours to download a fix, only to find that half the servers still haven't been updated... :eek:

I'm sure the community will make many excellent custom maps. Just give the mappers some time though, please? Sheesh, there's no pleasing some people! ;(
Imagine the layout of the level is one giant letter 'H' (only with 2 horizontals!) What I did was to set up in the top corner of one leg. This allowed my turrets to all fire down the entire length of one corridor.
I protected the turrets with barrels/boxes and when the combine came I made...
One of the things that struck me in the film Gladiator was how tired the combatants quickly became during their battles. I can imagine that a stamina-based combat system would work really well in a realistic gladiatorial-based mod.
Imagine if the damage you dealt partially depended partly on...
What did they expect? No game will do as well at it's 2nd E3 showing, especially one as critically acclaimed as HL2 was last year. Yet it still picked up "Best of Show" awards from Gamespy and Gamezone and it is once again, a nominee in the Game Critics Awards for "Best Game" of E3 2004...
