So the button to the left of 1 doesnt work? Try going to your hl2 cfg foler, probably at C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\USERNAME\half-life 2\hl2\cfg Open up config.cfg in notepad and add this bind "akey" "toggleconsole"

you can just use half life2. Type ai_disable bind "x" "npc_create npc_name" and just go about creating npc's by pressing x then ai_disable again and they will fight. more info here: http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?t=57123

Try this for the unbinding of your keys: Find your confic.cfg eg: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\USERNAME\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg right click properties and set it to read only. This worked in 1.6 so hopefully should work in source.
