Yeh, like every time. I never loaded a level without getting at least a dozen of those red error messages. Then you would get some during gameplay as well. I think HL2 only crashed once or twice for me, which I think is pretty good, considering.
I mostly agree. I can't speak for the gameplay, as I strayed away from ruining anything for me.
However, the few real, non-e3 levels I played had a lot of problems which say the "beta," or "alpha," or whatever, was not what Valve had at that time. First off, if you looked in the console...
Direct from the VU press release. If those are the only localized languages to be made available by November 16, then it is likely the boxed copy in Poland will be in another language (English or German perhaps).
As others have said previously, if a language is not included on your copy that...
Well, that's not really necessary.
Chriso20: Nice job! Very interesting... You took that a lot farther than I would have thought possible. I especially enjoyed the physical descriptions.
Hmm... reminds me of the beginning of HL--with all the quick blackouts...teleports...heavy breathing...
Halflife2.net does not allow spoilers, especially those that come from leaked content. They generally frown upon any sort of talk about the leaked version of the game beyond speaking on it in a very general manner. Your post doesn't seem to break any of their rules, but just be wary in general...
Who said anyone was downloading the maps? Fuse Kazuki was just asking why he could not download any custom maps. He didn't know they were illegal... just calm down...
I don't doubt your telling what you know, it just doesn't make sense to me.
Especially the fact that Valve is allowing hacked versions of CS:S to work over Steam.
EDIT: Thanks for responding, by the way.
Interesting. I don't remember every having to download a SDK in order to make maps for Half-life. All I needed was WorldCraft (I believe thats the right name). And if I am not mistaken WorldCraft will also be used to make Source-compatible maps (although it will be an updated version).
Now...
Wha..?
Illegal how? Are we not allowed to play any other maps besides those supplied by Valve? Or is that feature not enabled yet, or something?
Are all servers not running the official maps hacked servers (as in using a hacked version of CS:S/source)? Wouldn't that be incredibly easy for...
lol...bullsquid sounds better for a dog...
That would be so hilarious, please have someone take a few pictures or something if you actually do it. That's something you don't see every day (unfortunately).
If you have an ATI voucher, and your interested in a "collector's" edition, definitely buy the Gold package over steam. It is a much better value than the Collector's Edition that will be available in stores. It will also only cost you $40 instead of $90 if you have a voucher
Just in case you...
It should definitely stay, and there should be points gained from saving hostages, but 1 per hostage is too many -- maybe 1 for every 2 hostages. It seems, to me at least, that people plant and defuse the bomb more often than they use to.
I do agree with PvtRyan that "Score" should be a...
I hope you all realize the entire thread is one big joke... If you are bored enough you can read all of "DrWalterBennett's" posts. Somewhat amusing and pretty well written.
In case no one remembered, Walter Bennett is the name of the character in Walter's World at PlanetHalf-life...
The striders move to fast to get a clear look at their joints, which are very peculiar, so I cannot really disagree with you on that point. The colors being varied... well that may be camouflage or just weird lighting. The main reason I disagree with you is that there are more obvious examples...
Exactly! For all the above reasons, I use headphones (more accurate in online play, and it cuts out noise). In most multiplayer games, I can hear exactly what direction a sound came from, and how far away it was. Ahh... the wonders of EAX and Creative...
The only downside to headphones is...
Muscles? Where was this stated? I don't see any muscles... and besides, generally organisms with muscles contain them on the inside for protection, so I don't know where you got that from.
Sensory hairs... Again... they are pretty big hairs, but there is nothing to say they are necessarily...
They are still there. You can see them during the strider videos from E3 2004.
EDIT: Not sure what they are, possibly sensory devices to detect motion or contact with solid objects... Or maybe they are for offense: sharp edges and points to rend and cut flesh easily. Maybe it serves no real...
Are you talking about Söldner? Söldner has fully destructible buildings, terrain, etcetera. If you fire a bunch of RPG's at a tower (or a few tank shells), you can bring the tower down (or knock huge portions off of it at least)... But the overall graphics on this game are not particularly...
If you are talking about what Father Grigori says during the Ravenholm segment, you are incorrect. Here is what he says:
"Greetings brother, and so we meet at last. You are to be commended for avoiding my traps. They're the work of man who once had too much time on his hands, and now finds...
