Simple question really. Do you consider yourself to be a romantic guy/gal when it comes to relationships? I don't mean things like buying flowers. But rather thoughtful, sweet, loving gestures you do for your girlfriend/boyfriend husband/wife.

Me. I consider myself a pretty romantic guy. I don't have alot of field experience with alot of it... but I have a very romantic oriented mind. I love treating women right :naughty:

I would be romantic if I had the chance to. Too bad women hate me. O well... sadistic bastards ftw!

Yes of course, I'm verry romantic and know quite a few tricks on how to please woman. And, of course, I'm French. ;)

ummm what?

quoted for truth, six characters.

which part didn't you understand?

I'm romantic! I hold doors and everything...

I guess...although my relationships have been short so I guess it doesn't matter a whole lot. Im pretty good with the flirting thing...just im too uncertain about relationships and end up ruining it.

Hell no, I cant......stand ....romantic

Romantic doesn't have to be like prince charming bullshit.

Romantic can be considerate and respectful, apprecative and loving in a relationship.

You know... the alternative is being a brick, with all its warmth and approachable nature.

ok i get qft, but what is with 6 char? Romantics ruined my life btw, so they can all die.

No, romance has to have all that mystery and other bullshit. Also the man is expected to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on pretty rocks (AKA diamonds) for the girl.

People type that because if they type an incredibly short post reply like. "Ok" its not allowed. There's a six character minimum for a post, and that helps them bypass it by adding in a few extra characters.

So they're essentially saying, "here's my post, but the 6 character limit is preventing me from replying so i'm adding this bullshit onto it because i've seen so many other people do it and i'm a trend follower not a trend setter."

Okay... so maybe it doesn't say all that. I'm just ****ing around.

Not true. And by the way. Romance has NOTHING to do with monetary things. I hate monetary bullshit in a relationship, being 'expected' or mandatory. Diamond rings and jewelery as gifts infuriate me. Thats not romance, thats just something people do to try to 'appear' romantic.

... and, with that, you took back everything you said in that whole post.

Haha. Cause of my googly eyebrows?

I'll take the brick. :D

In response to madog: Short Recoil.

Anyway, yes, I'm romantic, and I never have to force it. There's nothing I love more than an open fire and Barry White's soulful croonings.

* Raziaar smashes Skaadi's skull in with a brick using several brutal, powerful swings. It's dry, rough surface quickly becomes coated with the warm, sticky blood that oozes from her gaping wound. Satisfied, he drops it to the ground beside her so that the two can be at peace with one another for all eternity.

What an appropraite ending for me. :D

Yes. Random hookups are great and all and while single it's cool.

But when I'm in a relationship, it's as serious as can be for me, and I love to treat my special someone in every way I can.

A relationship full of romance and all just seems boring to me, and very lacking... just not worth my time. Raziaar's definition sounds fine though I guess.

Fixed..

As for me, I haven't had a relationship since about 7th grade. See hopeless. See loser. See pathetic.

I am now in the final months of my junior year of high school.

The way I look at it... Romance is substance. Otherwise you're left with generic, bland, boring stuff. I mean, if you're dating a bimbo, or a nitwit, thats fine.. but yikes!

Wow that's the first time I ever realized her avatar's a dog.

I know her avatar is a panda. It is just a little saying an old teacher of mine had.

I think good conversation, really understanding one another, etc. is much better substance. Just having fun together is good. This might fall under your definition of 'romance', which is fine, but most other commonly held notions of romance seem boring and pointless to me.

Panda.....mutated panda

You can't really tell how big it is, so it sort of looks like a really small, furry dog. Panda would fit too.

Those are good things of substance, yes. And it all depends, I might lump it into romance, but its hard to say.

It's a Pandog.

And sticking on subject... I consider things like strong, powerful eye contact. Gentle caresses and fondling. All sorts of things like that. Romance :D

Bah. I'm not talking about in a fledgling relationship! I'm talking about between two lovers. You don't like your lover touching you?

I dunno, maybe its a private/personal space issue. I wouldn't try that stuff until I knew the person was comfortable and enjoyed it.
