Bad Company 2 Multiplayer Beta

Have a pre-order with play.com, but my beta code hasn't turned up in my inbox yet. If it's not there by the end of this afternoon i think i might have to pre-order on steam instead and swallow the 10 pound difference. Definitely want to get involved in the beta !

Holy shit, those videos look teh sechs. Really hoping I can play this tonight, although knowing Steam ....
 
Its 4 minutes past 18:00, and steam shows no sign of a beta download. Im starting to get nervous, is something wrong?

Ah Jesus Christ I'm too used to downloading at 10MB/s. I'll try again after I've got some sleep. There simply aren't any working links.
 
Steam download is going very choppy here. It goes from 300KB/s to 3KB/s and sometimes completely stops downloading.
Why oh why don't you improve Steam, Valve?
 
I'm too lazy to look... are there any videos that are really demonstrative of the destructive factors of buildings and objects? I'd have to get stuck dreaming of like I did with Red Faction only to get what I received with Red Faction. Same with Crysis really. The video a few above me in posts showed off a little but I just want to see what all it can do.

From the videos I've watched and previews I read, a lot of things are destructible, but stuff always destructs in the same way, making it a lot less interesting. Doesn't look like they got a physics system as well-working as Crysis'.
 
Yeah, just found it haha - don't think I'm getting one anytime soon. Site's being hammered to shit.
 
so I hear people wondering where their key is for Steam... it's asking for it upon installation
anyone figured it out?
 
I take it back. Just about managed to register an account and got a key. **** yeah.

Yeah 4 segments, 16 characters. I was about to ask the same thing - I was a bit worried considering they don't email it to you or anything. Just had to copy and paste it from their utterly ****ed up website. :LOL:

Whew, thats good news. Well, gonna let this one download while I'm off at class. See you guys on the battlefield!
 
Finally got one from fileplay.net

Took me forever to just register. Just keep refreshing the pages.
 
Got my key and downloading the beta now! :)

So glad I didn't have class got canceled or I'd probably be left out.
 
Just to clarify, users who download the beta on steam doesnt need a key right? I mean the thing is already bound to our account.

I got my key from fileplay.net, but I haven't pre-ordered the game. I didn't realise you needed a key if you've bought it off Steam? I figured all that would be tied to your Steam account.

just got min efrom fileplay. where are downloading from? fileplay site is borked under the strain of so many users
