for you, that is justification, for me that is the reason I do so. I know there is no justification or defence, but I still do it, and you brought out with the quotes the reason I do so.
Now, if I would have said something like "...and that`s why piracy is right and should be continued" would have been something to quote.

The fact that i pointed out that I know I`m stealing and that I know I can`t justify it (taking some shit off my chest/peace of mind, sorts) should be enough proof that I don`t justify it. Why don?t you quote those.

I just wandered in here. So, I guess the moral of the story is that Stern is a mid-thirties guy on a forum of younger people, has way over 26,000 posts, calls someone out for pirating games and then laughably admits he's pirated himself. Stern's hipocrisy is none of my business just like if other people pirate games it's none of my business. How does someone with a family and kids find the time for all those posts? NM, don't care, none of my business.

So, about BioShock, what's the release date on that one again? I have to start talking my friend into getting it for the 360 so I can play it.

Because an argument on a games forum determines someone's level of education... it's as if this place is your whole world.
 
I have said it before and I will say it again: The only kind of piracy I don't like is a conspiracy. :E Anyone else want to share their thoughts on the subject and/or other Monkey Island jokes?

I just want to get Bioshock for the atmosphere and play it with the lights off and the headphones or surround sound way up!!! If the gameplay isn't that great, meh. I have my virtual funhouse. (Same goes for Crysis when it hits).
 
I think everyone who pirates more than 2 games in a one year period should get an automatic 6 month labour-sentence and be sent to the Gulags for 'moral re-education'.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the first 10 or so minutes the most; just arriving in Rapture and finding bodies strewn everywhere, blood splatters and utter carnage and destruction. As soon as I see the first pile of mutilated bodies thrown about I know that somewhere, close by, something ****ing nasty is lurking, and then the tension is really going to be on. Feth yeah.

That`s exactly like System Shock 2 was, the beginning is so ****ing creepy. This will prolly be even better.
Btw, I did do a mistake: I didn`t ask if by "justification" he means that I think pirating is right, or I just do it for a selfish reason.
Don`t take this as me accepting being wrong.

All other notes before that on piracy were tongue-in-cheek. Don't try that ownership switch bullshit on me. You constantly go into threads just trying to stir up shit. Just stay in the political section (or creating "lol amerika" threads in Offtopic) where you belong. Otherwise, you start up unnecessary arguments and debates irrelevant to the topic of the thread. It it was any other person, this thread would be locked already, or the person would have been reprimanded. You have a remarkable skill of turning any and every thread you enter into a debate. This was a decent thread before you decided to troll it. Just **** off.

Yeah, spamming, derailing and trolling is against the rules as well. Don't see much happening in that department.
 
As if my previous counts of spam apply to the current situation (No answer to the trolling and derailing? Pity.). Stern is a natural troll, let's not shift focus. And taking this matter to PMs is a worthless suggestion as it would lead to nowhere. I don't mean to come off as brash to you Samon, I'm just tired of Stern walking into a thread with the intent to derail and successfully does it with no repercussions. I'm done here.

I just hope that there is more interaction than: Set man on fire, watch him run to water, electrocute man in water.

^That^ seems to be all I hear about in interviews and while its very cool, I want more from the environment. I realize that you can hack into turrets and those little flying annoyances and such, but hopefully there is a whole lot of other stuff you can use to turn the city of Rapture into your very own version of The Running Man.
 
I'm not that fussed about using the mutations to be fair. In fact, I'm going to avoid them as much as I can because I'm really not into superhero/superpowers fantasy stuff/magic (I know it's not that, you know what I mean), so I'm going to stick to weapons like the shotgun and tommy gun as much I can. It makes it all the more atmospheric for me not being a super-mutant and instead just a lone person wandering the ruins with nothing but a machine gun. Maybe on a second play through...
 
Yeah same. I think that's what turned me off from Invisible War. That or it was just a shitty game.
 
I'm usually the same, but am quite tempted by the mutations. It'll creepy slowly changing into some ****ed up half human.
