oh, and if anyone wants to convert this (with proper transparencies) to a .tga id appreciate that, as on this pc i dont have any proper image editing tools.

that spray was 512 high and almost 512 wide HUA, check the details!?

Well, it appears that wide sprays are resized into squares... so, I redid the last spray (the only non-square image I've done so far). I'm glad I had to redo it, because I like this version better:

I heard something about support for animated sprays in Source - but using TGA files is this possible or not?

You'd have to have each frame of the animation as a seperate TGA

u could have animated sprays? how do you know how big yur spray will be ingame? will it be the same size as u see it after editing in paintshop or whatever?

The ideal resolution for a spraylogo is 512x512.

well i am with ya up untill after here:

On the new image, right click on the layer and choose Blending Options.
Select Color Overlay and change the color to white.

thats fine did that, then this:

Make a black background (Layer -> New -> Background from Layer) and copy the whole image.
To do that, press ctrl+a (select all), and ctrl+c (copy). Now you can close that image.

On your old image, go to the channels tab and click on the icon i've marked to create a new alpha channel.

there has to be a step left out or something not being explained. you show urs as being a black background with white front but mine just simply is a white page if i do what u say there...please try to exoplain further.

layer with the text/guy, well, the actual image you wanna spray on the wall

1-colored layer (128 128 128, grey)



then i just hold ctrl and leftclick on the layer with the spray-image, go to the channels-tab, create a new layer (will be named alpha 1 blabla) then just press delete (make sure WHITE is the bg-color), then the same area as your spray-image will be white, then just save the file as 32bit tga and put in that weird tool
