Doctor Who: Season 4

I hated Satan. The Ood and the rest of the special effects in those episodes were very nice though, IMO.

What about Satan from Planet of the Ood and The Satan Pit? That looked fantastic!

Yep, that was good, as are the CG Daleks when they need to use them.

For the most part I like how they use the CGI in Doctor Who, but that Wasp looked like shit.

The thing that really bugged (HA) me about the wasp was that whenever the priest began to shapeshift he would start buzzing while he talked :|

She was dropped on Earth in the 22nd century I think... She wasn't a Time Lady and was only Gallifreyan. She met up with the Doctor in some spin-off media, but hasn't been heard of since.

The Five Doctors?
That was no spinoff media

Agreed. I seriously thought The Mill (the CGI team) really outdid themselves there!!! That beast looked so awesome!!! The only thing that could compare with that it some way was the Balrog in LOTR imo.

OMG!!!

Steven Moffat is the new lead writer and executive producer of Doctor Who. He takes over in 2010. What fantastic news. :E

Rowan Atkinson made a pretty good Doctor Who!
I thought he was actually a really good Doctor in that scetch.

Edit:
I just wikied Steven Moffat. My god I'm glad this guy is taking over from Davies. Can't wait for Silence in the Library. That's this week's episode, isn't it?

No episode this week because of the Eurovision song contest. Silence in the Library will air on the 31st of May. :(

doctor who needs to lower the budget and increase the rate of episode filming. For the amount they spend on it now they should be able to create two seasons per year not one.

You do know that at the rate they produce episodes at the moment, they are working flat out for about 10 months a year? It's not like most rubbishy US dramas where the action takes place in the places every week. Doctor Who episodes require a new cast, a new location, new special effects and a new production team every week. Increasing the rate of filming means we end up with something like Primeval. *shudder*

DAVROS.

:D :D :D

Please don't **** him up. Oh christ I can't even imagine what they've done to his face to make him look SUPA ULTRAA BADASS. Please just leave him be. :(

Those spacesuit things better not be Moffats new scary creation for the next episode.

Maybe if they had some 3 or 4 episode story arcs like in the old series they'd be able to produce more episodes a year.

Yeah, I do miss those sometimes.

Then again, if it's not really a story your enjoying, at least you only have to endure it 40 mins most of the time now.

Good episode tonight, nowhere near as intense as Blink though, but better than the last couple of episodes.

Great episode can't wait for part 2 :D

Not as good as blink but still the best episode of the season :D

Good episode. Moffat likes the sonic blaster doesn't he? The ghost echoes could have been done better I think, though. Did the signs for the Library and the Shop remind anyone else of Bioshock?

Predictions for next episode (Forest of the Dead, is it?):
The 4023 people who were saved had their minds copied onto the library's central computer.
The girl is part of/the library's computer and the girls consciousness is probably the result of four thousand people's brains being in the computer (Remember she said that no on else was ever in her library, so she mustn't have existed before everyone got eaten by the darkness).

It was good, but I thought it was ruined somewhat by having the shadows ''infect'' Other Dave (was that it?) allowing him to follow the Doctor around in typical boogeyman-chase Who style. Honestly, it would of been better if the shadows had remained as shadows and not some cliche monster following them around like in every other episode.

Proper Dave.

Overall it seemed like a good episode. I was disappointed that it was a double, though.

Ditto. I reckon the second part will be more creepy, just like the first season's Steven Moffat two-parter. The Doctor Dances was more creepy than The Empty Child, so I think that'll be the case this time.
Oh, and BTW, Riomhaire, the next episode is called Turn Left.

The next episode is Forest of the Dead.
Then Midnight.
Then Turn Left.
Then TBA*
Then Journey's End

*that's not the title, which would be awesome, but we just don't know it yet. If anyone wants to make any guesses, it's confirmed to consist of three words and none of them start with D.

Tonight at 7 on BBC1, Doctor Who: To Be Announced!

Ok, I was wrong before, it wasn't Turn Left, but I've just checked the episode guide in the Radio Times and the next episode is actually called River's Run, so all of us were wrong!!! :cheese:
