Doctor Who: Season 4

Episode was seriously excellent for the first half hour, but it soon resolved into a constant sense of climax/danger that kind of got a bit wearing. I just felt the pacing, rather than building and falling skillfully, just kind of went up pretty high and stayed there. Plus, unless I failed at understanding something, the creature or thing was a little vaguely handled. The final few moments were great.

Who wrote that one? I missed the beginning.
Big Rus.

That episode was a bit of a disappointment, actually.

The planet and concept reminded me of The Leisure Hive

The giant crystals made me think of a cityscape. It was a good episode but I agree with Sulk that the constant panic wore a bit. Perhaps there could have been a bit more build-up and a bit more cool-down. Also, the thing seemed smug near the end, didn't really seem right.

Rose's pointless cameo also distracted from the plot and briefly removed all tension.

I liked it for the most part, but the 'climax' seemed a bit stressed. THe premise of the episode was quite enjoyable, seeing the characters break down from fear.

And I hated that married woman, I wanted to ****ing drop-kick her off a cliff.

I believe Rose will appear in the next one (for real this time...)

Next episode is episode 11. Last year, episode 11 heralded the start of a three parter but virtually no one knew until about the last 15 minutes of the episode. Hence, this year, it's not officially the start of the finale, but I wouldn't be surprised, what with Rose being in all three.

The new Radio Times cover, due out on Tuesday!

EPIC.

Yeah, saw that on Outpost Gallifrey forums, it's an awesome shot :D

Honestly, I have no ****ing care in the world for ANY of those people. Wooo, Rose is coming back... no, wait, so what? It's hard to be bothered about these three nobodies when DAVROS is going to be around.

I hope Davros kills all three of them. Actually, I'm really hoping Rose gets a exterminated, the other two can dwindle about in the back as per usual and do not alot, then I hope they bring the Special Weapons Dalek back and he smears them across the floor with his ridiculous weapon.

It's quite clear that Jenny, Sally Sparrow and Martha should all lez off at the end.

P.S. that is what would have made the finale of I'd Do Anything infinitely better.

Captain Jack will be back next series, so that basically means that the next series will be ****ING AWESOME

Turn Left

Fantastic episode, especially considering the Doctor was hardly in it, but the real highlight was the Goosebumps I got when Donna told the Doctor
about Bad Wolf
, then the resulting EPIC next week trailer.

Seven days.........Can't come quick enough!

Yeah I agree kick ass episode and I also got goosebumps at the ending :)

what the hell are the Judoon doing there?

I liked Turn Left a lot. Though as you'd expect there are plot holes - like
if none of the Martha + Doctor adventures happened why isn't Earth ruled by Carrionites?

It was alright. I didn't really care for it simply because Davros is coming back and that pretty much makes everything else null and void.

Well that's not a fault of the TV show, just your impatience.

The entire alteration of the timeline saw Torchwood defeating the Sontarans rather than the Doctor etc.

I don't see why Willy couldn't have worked out the whole Shakespeare Code by himself or maybe a previous Doctor did it instead. I can imagine the Sixth Doctor loving that adventure! :E

Amazing episode. :E

No, I thought the episode wasn't anything special in general. I'd feel the same way if Davros wasn't coming back next week/soon.

I'm also expecting better acting and dialogue from Davros, too. Regardless of how much of a batshit insane half robot he is, I bet he's still better than Rose and Donna.

I thought it was the best of the series easily, guess some people are just harder to please.

Anyway, for UK Youtuber's, two new trailers.

One with Davros narrating:- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MR9EZhYzxr4

Dalek Teaser:- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Ij6M6gmBPn0&feature=user

I really dislike Donna, and Rose isn't much better.

Martha's the best out of the recent companions by far.
I'm getting sick of them all being Londoners though, bloody London-centric BBC...

Uhh, it's filmed in Cardiff, so how the hell is it London-centric?

Anyways, I thought it was excellent. Yes, there were a few plot holes in it but that didn't make a huge difference. One thing though: I though the Doctor was actually going to see Rose in this episode. I was disappointed when he didn't. Still, the next episode looks amazing and this could easily be the best series finale (although the last season's finale with The Master was pretty much unbeatable).

How on Earth could you blame Dr Who for being London-centric when they pretty much made Cardiff the centre of the universe and the space/time-continuum?

I am disappointed for the lack of a heavy weapons Dalek blowing up Rose. I really dislike Rose. I like Donna though. I didn't like the important plot points in this episode; The beetle thing and all of Rose's part. I liked the world falling apart, but it could have been done better. I also lol'd at the LEEDS stamp. Also, why the hell do the BBC have to spoil the Dalek's appearance. They could have easily not shown them in the next episode's preview but they have to spoil it for everyone who didn't already know. They've done the same thing so many times.

Edit: Random note about Welshness in Doctor Who: Did anyone notice that in Boomtown the TARDIS doesn't translate Welsh. It also translates the Roman into Welsh in the Pompeii episode.
