Had a good BF2 day?

I had a very good heli pilot today on Oman. It was my first experience with being a gunner and I did quite well. I only have less than a hundred points until I get promoted to Sergeant too. :D

As for unlocks, go for the spec op's G36. I <3 it and rack up a lot of kills.
 
I'm pretty ok with flying helis, but crap at weaponry - pilots never hold still long enough to get clean shots.

I've invented and perfected the Suicide Stuka Blackhawk Anti-Tank Power Dive(TM) though. 5 explosive packs on the nose, wake island, spot tanks from high up, go vertical - DIIIIVE (laugh like brian blessed)
 
Weeee... just got out of a pissing match with a bunch of asshat 'teammates'. Nothing quite like purposely smashing a jet into my chopper just so the two can fly together. Instead of asking, he also snipes me out of helo. I then proceeded to wipe the floor with both them, ending up with a pretty large negative score that was 100% completely worth it.
 
yus, the stress relief properties of BF2 should never be overlooked.


best game to date the other night - on the Losers Server, No armour, No commanders, Karkand. 1 game, 2 hours. Wow was that intense. and so quiet.
 
Haha, I had that situation today. Some moron got pissed at me for getting to the jet first and he shot at me then stood by the wing forcing me to team kill him. So of course he punishes me, and I complain. The admin warns him, but best of all is this. He is about to get off the ground in his jet, so I lay some C4 right on the runway, he goes anyhow and I blow him to smitherines. So then he gets mad , everyone ignores him and eventually votekicks. Figures.. He had like 0 points, 0 kills and 8 deaths, useless and stupid.
 
Oh boy, Oman is the map god of solo heli'ing! :D

Just got out of 256, blew up 13 chunks of armor (including heli) with solo TV before I decided to go cap flags instead. Got to say, swapping to lose missile lock feels ... imbalanced :p

Yay I finally get to fly with a competant gunner (aside from people I know), which also happens to be a 256'er ... finally put some joy back into piloting :D
 
Had a great BF2 weekend so far. Yesterday was cool, tonight was even better. Jimbo and I played on the EAUK Jolt City Maps server and they had some very good teamplay going on there. The last round on Sharqi was supreme pwning goodness. An almost full squad, working together. We were unbeatable. One of my best PUB games in a long time.

yeah that was awesome, a full 64 Maashtur was great, lol when PunkEnrage ran over those 3 dudes at the heli pad :p
 
We got a bunch of hl2.net members on tonight.
The first round on Karkland was a disaster, and we lost in the first 5 minutes.
The second round on Karkland went much better and was won.

I did pretty decent in both games being an armor whore, I raped their tank like it was nobody's business.

Oh and make sure you take more pic's of me next time, I mean isn't that tank just sexy?:p

edit: My VoIP was broken again, I didn't mean to be a mute :( This on / off stuff that happens with my VoIP is really pissed me off...

Been playing with new unlocks I got (lots of thanks to a friend), I'm loving that L96 sniper :D
 
Yeah the L96A1 is a total beast, I happened to pick that up off a dead enemy. It totally owns anyone, I was really sad when I got killed.

Did your friend with SF let you get the unlocks? Lucky bastard...

Yeah it is, I won't ever be able to use the M95 again.. hell I can't picture using any other sniper period.

Buy special forces. Or get someone you know with special forces to let you log in on their comp.
 
omg total ownage! I love that first one too, the guy is flying! Did he fall down the hill?
 
I don't think I remember if he fell or not. But I find it kind of funny that the bodies fly so high when all I did was knife em.
 
yeah I know, when you you knife someone thier dead body like spaz's and goes flying. Oh well, adds to the fun!

They never get old. :p Then I started chucking grenades down there and took out about 5 of em, then proceeded to snipe out about 5 guys running up to the flag.

With him being a sniper, you'd figure he'd place a claymore right on that ladder though ... but still nice work!
 
yeah I know, I didn't even know he was up there, I was planning on doing what he was. I was also happy cause he was commander. :p
 
Not exactly 'today' material but still happy moments regardless :D These two badges took me forever to get... ugh I don't even want to think about trying to get the Expert versions of these.

I got these badges cutting very close to the remaining tickets, the repair one it felt like pulling hair out of my head trying to get that last 1-2 repair points D:

Any tips on how to get the expert ones? :p The expert explosives (37 kills IAR) and Repair (25 Repair IAR!!!) are ridiculously hard, the repair one doesn't even seem feasible without deliberate stat padding :x
 
Expert Explosives has to be the hardest badge in the game. Even harder than Expert Knife. Getting 37 kills is quite the feat alone, and thats with all the other stuff. All I could say is just put claymores and C4 everywhere. :\

I dunno, I'd say War College Badge is likely the hardest badge in the game to get. I mean a win / loss ratio of 3 is ridiculously hard to get, especially since I had no idea about it until I had quite a few games under my belt already. I personally need about 500-600 straight wins (with no losses) to get that badge... so yeah I've got a long way to go :(

Expert Explosives seems hard but feasible, the expert Repairs on the otherhand... :x 25 Repair points in a round doesn't seem possible without stat padding, I mean c'mon how is that remotely possible!?

Not as hard as I thought, flashbangs work wonders for this badge. :E Sad thing is I ended up with top score despite spending half the game hunting for this badge. I had gotten really close previously, but the enemy team kept on losing all their flags too quickly so I was always 5-6 shy with 100+ tickets left. Oh well, that's history now... time to earn my 500 pistol kills for expert badge

edit: In the first pic I was hauling ass from the place since arty was dropping (which explains why it's blurred... and no it's not because I was The Flash), but I got mowed down turning the corner anyway ;(
